Lavender and peach flowers

OK, so I didn't quite manage to mix a peach colour with my water colours, but maybe it's near enough?
And I know I'd said no more sympathy cards for a while, but when I was ready to stamp a sentiment on this one 'Thinking of You' seemed to be the most appropriate!

Simon Says Stamp flower stamps - not fussed on my colouring, kinda wish I'd stuck with my pencils.
I added some clear gloss and glitter to the flower centres, so its nice and sparkly but doesn't show up in my pic.  I masked off my flowers to splatter the BG and then doodled a border.

ETA: I wasn't happy at all with my colouring on these flowers so I got my watercolour pencils out and added a bit more detail ... I think it looks better now!

  1. Lynne you are first on the bus! What a sweet card and those doodled flowers are so pretty. It looks close enough to peach to me. Loved seeing how you were inspired, thank you for sharing with us at Muse this week! By the way, Ruby is adorable!

  2. I LOVE this card! Your water colored flowers are beautiful, and I like how you have done the splatters to match. And then the flower centers are so pretty. This is just an elegant clean and simple card, my dear. Great take on the challenge, thanks so much for playing along with us this week over at Just Us Girls. Oh, and good luck!!

  3. Pretty card. Not necessarily a sympathy card, though, right? I think it could easily serve as a get well card. Regardless, whoever gets it will love it!

  13. Well, Lynne, I think both versions are just pretty as a peach! I'm with you on wanting more detail to my watercolor at times, so I mess around sometimes more than I should but I really do love both versions! (P.S. We share the same spelling on Lynne!)
