This card uses some older MFT stamps - coloured with watercolour pencils, sparkle added to the leaves and clear gloss to his lolly, beak and feet. I had a little snippet of matching DP in my pile so gave him some snazzy shorts.

Muse have a great challenge this week, to case any of Ardyth's cards! A tough choice as she has a fabulous gallery, but I eventually chose this one - it reminded me of this Taylored Expressions tree die that I won a long time ago and have never used .... so thanks Ardyth!
I hadn't intended on the white enamel dots, but as per usual an oops magically appeared and needed disguising ;)

Two beautiful cards, Lynne. I love the little penguin with his shorts! Perhaps I should buy this set too. Thanks for being my enabling buddy once again, Jo x
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for playing with the Snarky Sistahs! Jo x
ReplyDeleteLove your snippets card Lynne - those wee shorts paper pieced are such a great way of pulling the image and the BP together. Super card!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the second card as well - if you hadn't said that the white enamel dots were hiding an 'oops' we'd have been none the wiser! It looks just right :)
Hugs
Di xx
Absolutely adorable! Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Creative Inspirations! Good luck,

His snazzy shorts are pure genius! Great sympathy card, I wouldn't have thought of using white enamel dots, but they work really well x
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card, love the wee penguin!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for getting beachy with the sisterhood of snarky stampers!!
Rainy BH Mondays make for great crafting I always find as you are clearly showcasing with these lovely cards. The sympathy card is really lovely Lynne xx
ReplyDeleteAwesome cards - love the first one much more - those polka dotted pants are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards. I really like your penguin's "snazzy shorts." He looks like he's ready for an old-fashioned beach party. I think your white enamel dots add a nice touch to your second card, even if they do cover up an "oops."
ReplyDeleteSounds like we had similar weather on Monday! Great cards and a fab take on Ardyth's. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you made me laugh! I too dream of a day when my embellishment placement isn't decided by smudges! lol! Gorgeous card! Thanks so much for the happy birthday wishes and for coming to my party at Muse!
ReplyDeleteSuper cards. Perfect disguises! xxx

Hi Lynne, two lovely cards, love the little penguin and his swimmers, the sympathy card looks great with the liquid enamel drops on it, even if it was not planned, it adds a great finishing touch... thank you for coming to play in Snippets Playground, good luck in the draw... have a wonderful week...
