Some Sympathy Cards

Tonight we have Storm Eleanor visiting, and it's certainly blowing a gale out there and lashing rain too.  Hopefully it calms down a wee bit for the morning, it's back to the grindstone for me after my Xmas hols.  Boo Hoo  :(

I've no sympathy cards in my stash, and hate making them, so thought I'd have an evening of it!

This first one, was a bit of a surprise to me!  I was looking for the flower stamp and came across this lovely sentiment.  I think I might have won it in some blog candy or a challenge, I really don't remember!!  I love how this one turned out.
Prima flower stamp; pink sequins from my stash.

This one uses an older LOTV stamp and Paper Smooches sentiment.  I fancied doing it in a lilac colour but only had a little snippet left - so rather than adding a whole strip I just cut the little side panels.

And lastly another oldie from Whipper Snapper - I went over my flowers with my clear glitter pen, I thought the sparkle made it look sort of wintry.

  1. All three are such pretty and thoughtful cards, but your first one is a real beauty. I love the soft colors of the flowers, and the sentiment is wonderful!

  5. Hello, Lynne! Thank you so much for the lovely Christmas card, it was greatly admired!

I hope Storm Eleanor passed by without damage. My goodness, it was a wild night! I woke up when I heard a bang at about 2, scared we'd lost a rooftile - but it was only a large book falling off the bed!!!

Your sympathy cards are beautiful, the sentiment on the top one is so moving.

Wishing you a happy, healthy and crafty 2018.

Oops - and thanks for joining in at CRAFT Challenge, too!

  6. I love all three cards Lynne - just perfect. I too have that beautiful sentiment although my stamp also has some little flowers on - I do prefer your, I bought mine in New Mexico of all places. Great idea to keep a few cards to hand - I dither between both approaches but am sure yours is the best way.

    Happy 2018!

    Hugs
