Cactus birthday

Hi All!   Just a quickie post from me - the sun is shining and I need to tackle some of my weeds... though my neighbour's garden is a total wilderness so mine always looks not too bad in comparison ;)  Our weather has been a bit bonkers all week with mad showers and hail, but I'm hoping to finally get our winter coats away at last, fingers crossed!

I'm struggling to make any cards at the minute, so any completed one is a result for me!  I love getting an oldie inked up (from Nellie Snellen) - if I was making this again I think I wouldn't have bothered with the leaves in the background.

Star of the show at the minute is my lovely rhododendron which is absolutely beautiful when the sun shines on it, though the blooms don't last very long and it's getting a bit big for the spot it's in

  1. What a sweet card Lynne, love that little indian brave, great colours and I would leave it just as it is!! That really is a fine specimen of a rhododendron. I just cannot grow them but remember as a kid going to rhododendron mile near Bournemouth and driving through hedges of them...must go back again some day. Hope you are doing okay Lynne xx

  4. Super card Lynne, what a cute little Indian. Thanks for sharing the photo of your fabulous rhododendron. We planted one in the garden last year and hopefully it will be as beautiful as yours one day. xx

  5. Sweet card. It looks great as it is--leaves and all! I always second guess my own designs, thinking I should have done something different on almost every card. Your rhododendron looks amazing! My son lives in the northwest part of the U.S., and rhododendrons grow in abundance there. His weather is much like yours - quite cool and wet during the winter months, but lots of sunshine (without extreme heat) in the summer. In fact, I wouldn't mind living in his part of the country.

Your little Maiden is adorable - with or without the greenery, but I like it! Gosh you've done a bang up job coloring her! You've celebrated someone's birthday, and I love it!
