Sunglasses on!

It's been a dark, damp old day today but you definitely need your sunglasses on for this card!

This card was inspired by this week's featured stamper over at Splitcoast - here's JoAnne's original.  I found this snazzy DP in my stash and kinda got a bit carried away with myself ;)  I've used my new Jane's Doodles critters - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to their eyes and teeth.  Did my usual trick of stamping a background and then covering it up!

This one is for a friend in work who's leaving for a new job.
She has lovely white hair, don't think I quite nailed it.  She also loves her allotment and growing her veggies, so that's why I've used this oldie Kraftin Kimmie Stamp.  Bit of sparkle added to the pots and her bow.

Gardening and stars

Gosh it's been over a week since I made a card ... just been busy getting the garden sorted and busy in work too.  So I've had no spare mojo to be crafting!

This little girl (an old Kraftin Kimmie stamp) pretty much sums up what I've been up to.  You could stick a paintbrush in her hand too as the fence got done as well!

It's not very often I make a card with no stamping on it ... I reckon colouring is half the fun!  For this one I just die cut some stars and added a few blue and yellow splatters on the BG to pull it all together.

May calendar

It's a nice long weekend for the May Bank Holiday here, and I treated myself to an extra couple of days, so I've no work till Thursday. Yippee!  Hope the weather wises up a bit, its been typical Bank Holiday weather here so far ... dark, windy, wet and generally yeuchy!

This calendar is part of an ongoing pressie to my Mum ... I wasn't organised enough to get it finished for Christmas, so instead she gets a new page every month!
My theme for May is a travel one as she's off to Canada in a couple of weeks on her hols.
My little Canadian girl is from Kraftin Kimmie - coloured with watercolour pencils and glitter added to the maple leaf on her jumper.  I paper pieced my little airplane from The Alley Way stamps, added some glitter to the propeller and used a white marker to add the Aer Lingus logo.  City scape die from Paper Smooches.  Sky chalked in BG.

Card for Aunt Cilla

Ohhh its been such a beautiful bright sunny day today and a nice wee nip in the air - though we'd a real hard frost last night.  Ruby got a bit of a surprise when she went for a drink and her water was frozen!  First time she's ever been 'frightened' of her bowl LOL!

This card is for my Aunt Cilla who, surprise surprise, lives in Canada!  My image is from Kraftin Kimmie - coloured with copics.  I added clear gloss and glitter to all the wee windows, so there's a bit of sparkle.

Flowers for sale

This is another of the cute images from Kraftin Kimmie that I chose as part of my Mojo Monday winnings ... isn't he a cutie.  Coloured with pencils, though I'm not overly happy with his hair, I'll have to google to see how to colour hair properly with pencils.  Couple of the flowers popped up on dimensionals.  I masked off my image and splattered the sky with watercolours, but was a tad splodge-happy!!

Sketch from Mojo Monday #303 (though I've just noticed there should have been a banner hanging from the flower)

Sparkly carrots

Just a quickie post tonight ... I was out volunteering today at the World Police & Fire Games and I'm pooped ... its exhausting looking at all those hunky fire and police men ;)  Back again tomorrow and Friday ... its a hard life! Hahahaha

This little cutie is from the set that I was very lucky to win at the Mojo Monday challenge a few weeks ago - Dish the Dirt from Kraftin Kimmie.  Coloured with pencils; clear gloss added to her wellies and box; stickles added to the carrots and tomato (whadya mean you've never had glitter in your dinner LOL!)
