Belated Birthday flowers

Happy St Patrick's Day!  We had the most beautiful blue skies and wall to wall sunshine today, so it was a great day for all the St Patrick's Day parades.  Didn't go to any myself ... couldn't be annoyed with the parking and the crowds!

Anyway, I've been trying to challenge myself more with sketches that I would find difficult, so I had a go at this week's Muse challenge with Anita's gorgeous card (right)

I used my Power Poppy stamps and my one and only coloured ink pad.  For a bit of extra interest I added a few sequins from my Taylored Expressions mix and also added some Spectrum Noir sparkle to the flowers and leaves.  I love how this turned out!

Belated Birthday

Just a quickie post tonight - I've been out power washing all day and I'm pooped, I feel a long soak in a hot bath coming on!  Good to get it done though, it was long overdue :)

This card uses a older set from Taylored Expressions I bought a while ago.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and then a few dots from a pale grey copic marker to highlight the fleece.
Clear gloss and glitter added to the star; yellow gems from stash.

Colour theme from CAS on Sunday #60
Inspiration Destination #37 - anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafty challenge #231 - favourite embellishment ... mine is gems :)
Seize the Birthday - animal birthday
Sister Act #110 - anything goes
Layout from Sweet Sunday #273

Eat Cake Graphics - Too late for cake?

Gasp, imagine being too late for the cake, that would be a disaster Hahahaha ;)

This is my first DT card for Eat Cake Graphics A Sprinkling of Samples blog  :)
I've used little Abigail (doesn't she look the picture of pure innocence!) - combined with the text stamp she makes a great Belated Birthday card.  I coloured her with watercolour pencils and fussy cut Abigail and the sentiment, and then added clear gloss to her empty plate.  My BG is just a quick swoosh of Shimmer Mist.  Photo frame and little Abigail popped up on dimensionals, and a few random gems added from my stash to finish.

Stamps used:
8011-D Am I too late for cake (text)

Cuttlebug Mania - Freeze Frame - I used a photo frame die from Taylored Expressions
Papertake Weekly - A Cut Above
Top Tip Tuesday - buttons or bows
Addicted to Stamps #137 - make your mark
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - anything goes
Penny's Paper Crafting #220 - boys and girls come out to play
As you like it Challenge - lines or no lines technique ... I definitely prefer lines on my images as the invisible lines always look a bit unfinished to me!

Belated Birthday Card and Giro d'Italia pics

My good bloggy buddy, Benzi, deliberately sabotaged my craft budget by posting a card recently using this cute image which of course I couldn't resist ;)

I popped my wee sheepie up on dimensionals and added some flowersoft 'wool'.

Layout from Clean and Simple #292
Crafty Catz #230 - black, white, plus one other colour
Crazy for CAS #43 - ribbon and/or twine
Sister Act Card Challenge #56 - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - anything goes + option of no designer DP

And, as promised, here's the pics of the Giro d'Italia whizzing past ... was definitely a sight to see!  (Wish I'd kept recording though to catch all the support vehicles!)

She's back!

I found this little lady over the weekend ... I couldn't tell you how long she was on the missing list for!  And I'm not even quite sure where I found her ... she just kinda appeared!!!

Coloured with pencils and clear gloss added to the empty place, and splattered red watercolour to BG.  LOVE these red enamel dots, I'll have to get some more next time I go shopping .... which may not be for some time!! Ha.

Lazy Day Frog

Time for a new challenge at High Hopes, and this week is an easy-peasy one ...
Birthdays
Play along with your High Hopes stamps for the chance to win a new one of your choice.

My card uses Lazy Day Frog from the latest release, I reckon he didn't get his card posted as he was too busy catching flies!!
Coloured with copics and some bling added for a bit of sparkle.  Belated birthday sentiment.  I also stamped a wee fly to the inside of the card, but forgot to take a pic.  Oh and I drew my own fly when I was doodling my border, just to pull the images all together :)
