Bunnies!

Hi all!  Oooh it's as dark as night here and the wind has gotten up, looks like we're in for a splash of rain!  I can hardly believe that it's almost that time of year for the clocks to go forward, seems like no time since they went back!  But then every day is like Groundhog Day and they all kinda merge together, I think this entire past year I've hardly known what day it is any day!  Except the weekend, I haven't made that mistake yet LOL

Anyways, I've a few quickie Easter cards this evening...

I've used a real oldie for these - from Shirley's 2 Girls - it's at least 10 years old so it's good to give it an inking again!  Double bonus points for me for using up this DP which has been knocking round my stash for quite a while too!  I think I prefer this 2nd one with the stronger colour

Babies and Balloons

Brrrr it's been such a cold wintry day today!  We've had the lot ... sleet, rain, hail, thunder and lightening!  It was almost a good day to be at work LOL

My first card is another special order for a workmate's baby shower.  I came across these DPs in my stash, no idea where they came from!  My stamps are old-oldies from Shirley's 2 Girls - I always had a bit of an issue with the spelling of 'mold', I would have spelt it 'mould'.  But maybe it's an American spelling?
Coloured with watercolour pencils and Wink of Stella added to the babygro and to the flowers on her dress.  Couple of little charms from my stash ... we know the baby's going to be a boy so I added the little lad - it looked a bit lonely on his own so I added the feather charm too.

My second card is a rare attempt at a 1-layer card, and I'm dead pleased with how it turned out!  I used an oldie Penny Black stamp - coloured with watercolour pencils and lots of red glitter and gloss added to the balloon.  Faint outline of clouds chalked in the background.  Sentiment set from Clearly Besotted.  Red sequins from stash.

Baby Announcement cards

So this is what I've been working on this past week ... a request by my boss for a set of 30 baby announcement cards.  Now I HATE making big orders like this, so I kept them reasonably simple and with minimal colouring.

My image is an old-oldie from Shirley's 2 Girls.  Die-namics cloud die; paper smooches heart die.
Bit of bling in the form of sequins, and the job's a good-un!  I had loads of scraps in my pink pile so this was a great way to use them all up, plus it meant that there was a bit of variety in the set even though they were all the same if you know what I mean! :)

Baby Tags

This was a new request for me ... to make a set of tags for a mum-to-be's bags for hospital.  One was for the Mum, one for the baby, and I can't remember what the other bag was for but I was asked to put a stork on it!  I guess it's a kind of "before, during and after" story!

The image of the baby is a Lili of the Valley stamp, and the two outer ones are super-old ones from Shirley's Two Girls that I haven't used in such a long time.  All coloured with watercolour pencils.  Clear gems added to the flowers on Mum's dress tag; glitter added to alternate stripes on the baby blanket on the stork tag.  Taylored Expressions tag dies.

Snoozin Doggy

Here's another quickie card using lots of oldies ... my DP and my image (and sentiment) is a really-really-oldie from Shirleys 2 Girls
Coloured with pencils and edge of image frame paper pieced, and some sequins added for a bit of bling.
