My Best for Him

Ack, I couldn't get a decent pic of this wee card ... the DP is more of a sage green than the sludge grey that's showing here!!  I've been humming this carol since I stamped that sentiment Haha

Image is an oldie from High Hopes: My Best for Him and Pa rum pa pum pum sentiment.  Coloured with pencils. I rediscovered a stash of gold stars, got a bit carried away with them I think!!

By the way, did you see that High Hopes are having a Guest DT call - the term runs from October to January, but you'll have to leave your name in the linky before Monday night ... Tick Tock, get a move on!!

Flowery Tilda

I started this card earlier in the week but couldn't get the enthusiasm to get it finished.  Had a really tough week in work - I said bye to 2 friends who I've worked with for over 24 years and then heard that some other colleagues are facing compulsory redundancy.  So it's been a very emotional few days :(

My card uses one of my unloved Tilda images ... I'm still tempted to draw in a smile LOL!  I coloured her to match my pretty DP and then pulled the usual trick of covering up most of it with other papers!

Image coloured with pencils.  Martha Stewart grass border punch.  Dienamics Mini tab.  Sentiment is an oldie from Elzybells.

High Hopes Challenge #187

It's punches and dies this week at High Hopes, so a nice easy one!  Play along with your High Hopes stamps to win a new one of your choice :)

My card uses Downhill Snowy - you'll see from the link that the snowy image goes downhill, but I wanted him to go horizontal, so I just stamped him and then cut him out.  Popped up on dimensionals and glitter added to his hat and skis, and also to the little windows in the house border (I'm lovin this border die from Memory Box!)
Sentiment also from High Hopes - Warm Winter Wishes

Autumn coloured cutie

I think this is my favourite card I've made this weekend .. the old mojo is mucking about again!
I'd originally planned for her t-shirt to be red and white, but made an ooops with one of my red Promarkers and had to have a change of plan!

Fluttering By

Sunday evenings come round so fast!!  We've had a beautiful sunny weekend, definitely one where you should be outdoors!  Guilt got the better of me this afternoon so I've been out and emptied all my hanging baskets and lots of pruning and pulling done!  So we've a nice tidy garden at the minute ... just ready for the leaves to start falling and making a mess Ha.

I've no idea what colour my bunny is .. there's about 5 different pinks in him, I just kept adding layers until I got a shade that kinda matched my DP.

Tweeters

Heee, I love how this wee card turned out.  How cute are those little birdies (Alley Way Stamps).  I didn't quite manage to stamp them in a straight line, but hey, that's nothing new eh?
I glossed up their beaks and head feathers (?) and then the one on the right got some glitter treatment and googly eyes.

Butterfly Baby

My card stash is sooo low, so I thought I'd use one of my new Alley Way stamps to make a baby card.  I paper pieced my butterfly and glittered up the wee bits in the wings.  Die-namics Peek-a-Boo-Dots die; sentiment banner hand cut.

New Home

Hmmm, DP overload methinks!  That's what you get when you use up all your bits and pieces on the one card. Ha.
I also didn't plan out my sentiment properly and kinda ran out of room for it.  Oops.

High Hopes Challenge #186

This week's High Hopes challenge is
Orange and Purple
I've made a Halloween card, but you can make anything you want with your High Hopes stamps as long as you follow the colour theme.

My image is Boo Crew Border - coloured with pencils and some clear gloss added as accents to the bows.  And, GASP, I've actually managed to use a button Hahaha
Sentiment is Simply Halloween, also from High Hopes.  My starry embossing folder is an oldie from Sizzix

Card for Uncle Derek

Wowee, it's been a bit of a draughtly day today, though we didn't get the lashing rain that had been forecast (excitable weathermen on telly as usual!)  LOTS of leaves down, hopefully the wind will leave some and let them change colour :(

Ah well, the crappy weather forecast meant I hadn't any plans for today, so had a lovely crafty day and got loads of washing out on the line to dry in between card making ... anyone fancy some ironing?

This card is for my Uncle and features Brutus from High Hopes, isn't he a sweetie!!  Coloured with pencils and some glitter added to his dog tag for a bit of bling.  Central panel popped up on dimensionals and then sentiment (Paper Smooches) also popped up again.

Wot ... no bling??

Ha, I can't belive I've just made a card with no bling, no embellies or no twine!!  Unheard of!
Its just a quickie for the 10 minute craft dash colour challenge -  I'm a bit like a whirling dervish for this challenge and is the only time I actually plan my card properly before starting and don't faff about setting on and taking off embellishments!

10 minute craft dash #25 - colour combo - though I don't have any brown paper so had to go with kraft.  My card ... 9 minutes 22 secs.

High Hopes Challenge #185

This week's challenge at High Hopes is an easy one for some of you ....
Buttons and Bows
but when you're button-challenged like me it's a toughie!!  I've no idea why I find them such a difficult embellishment to use, so I was delighted to find this wee santa hat button in my stash that was a great match to my image ... Elegant Santa.

I didn't want to add even more height to my card (the button's quite bulky) and only had a smidgen of this ribbon left, so I just folded over the wee leftover bit to make a loop and then stuck the button down in the middle to give a bow effect.

I added some of this fluffy fibre stuff that I bought a year or two ago at the Belfast Craft Show to Santa's hat.  Wow, that stuff is magnetised to everything ... hands, face, jeans, papers, probably even the dog!
Red glitter added to the holly berries and clear sparkle to his bauble.  Memory Box border die.

Krafty New Home

I needed a new home card, so was delighted to see this week's Muse challenge (pic below) was the perfect inspiration!
My house wasn't as cute and sweet as Therese's, nor was my tag, so I added a bit of red glitter to brighten all that Kraft paper.

Anniversary card

Another special request for a Wedding Anniversary card - my wee LOTV bear was still knocking round my table so he got picked for some ink again!  I kinda wish I'd gone easier on his blusher though!  I hadn't planned on adding the butterflies until a fingerprint appeared where it shouldn't have, not the first time that's happened ;)

Leaving card for Paul

Another leaving card for another work colleague ... this time a golfer!
I've used Retired Raymond from High Hopes - coloured with promarkers and paper pieced trousers ... why do golfers have such a rare taste in fashion???  No 'normal' folk would be seen dead in trousers like these!
I added some flower soft for grass.  I wish I'd reversed my green panels, but hadn't planned my card properly and the black sparkly peel off letters were a last-minute decision, and probably would have looked better on a lighter cardstock.

Leaving card for John

It's been a dark, damp day today, perfect for crafting :) Good job, as I've a load of cards I need to get made this weekend!  This one is for a friend that I've worked with for over 20 years but we've had some funding cuts so he's taking early retirement ... I reckon his wife will need a photo of him as he'll be out fishing 24/7!

My image is Dad's Catch from High Hopes.  Bought these DPs yesterday in a moment of weakness - from Forever Friends ... love it!  Letters popped up on dimensionals - I added in the faux stitching as they were a bit lost in my DP.

Paper Pieced Thanks

Mmmm, just spent a lovely hour watching the Great British Bake Off on telly ... lots of gorgeous looking cakes and biscuits yummmmmmm.  Only downside is that I always end up rooting through my larder for something 'nice' (preferably covered in chocolate LOL)!!

I've no mojo at the minute, the layout of this card was inspired by one I spotted in the freebie digital issue of Paper Crafts, I LOVE this mag!

All images and sentiment from various Paper Smooches sets. I paper pieced my tree canopy, butterflies and apple, and added some bling for good measure!  The green panel at the bottom is popped up on dimensionals.
I used my Cuttlebug to die cut the wee tag (Taylored Expressions Tag Stacklets), then decided it was a tad too big so trimmed it down the sides and at the bottom!
Sorry for the pants photo ... the dark evenings are here already :(

Purple Donkey

Booo hooo Sunday evening and the end of my week off, back to the grindstone tomorrow :(

This card is based on this week's featured stamper at Splitcoast - here's Lee's original  Wouldn't the world be a fun place if donkeys were purple and horses blue!

My image is Brayden from High Hopes, coloured with pencils, and sentiment from Paper Smooches.  Image panel popped up on dimensionals.
