October calendar and a pink wedding

We had a lovely bright sunny day today - a great day for getting my washing dried outside and ousting the dust bunnies from inside!  So as I was a good busy girl all day I'd no qualms about getting crafty all evening ;)  I had a serious loss of mojo recently (too busy in work combined with a stinker of a cold) so it was good to get colouring again.

Here's Mum's calendar page, actually early for a change!  I've used my little bee again from Tracey Hey at Alpaca Pals - it's hard to remember sometimes what stamps I've used on her calendar pages so I usually use my most recent one!  Coloured with polychromos - glitter added to his wings and gloss to his nose and to the hearts.  Background chalked up with my hexagon stencil.

This one is a special request - and yes, I have checked that Alex is a girl LOL
I've used my good old Lily of the Valley stamp - coloured with polychromos and clear gloss added to her roses.
If I was making this again I would have moved the 'congratulations' down a wee hair, my spacing isn't quite right.  Silver hearts from stash.

Snowman and a tipsy penguin

Say Hello to my new favourite snowman!   I'd been watching out for something to use for my unmounted stamps on my stamping platform, so when I spied this one at Purple Onion Designs I couldn't resist adding the Jolly Snowman to my basket too!

Coloured with polychromos - clear gloss/glitter added to his nose and I also went over his scarf/pocket with my clear glitter pen so it's all nice and sparkly.  White enamel dots for falling snow.

  • The cover of the book at the Library Challenge inspired my blue background and outstretched arms image
  • ABC Christmas - S is for Sparkle
  • Your Next Stamp Fun Friday - just for fun
  • As You Like It - Santa or no Santa - I don't have very many Santas in my stash, and I definitely have waaaay more snowmen.

This one uses the little penguin and drink/flower from an older MFT set along with their Cheers die.  Coloured with a mixture of watercolour pencils and polychromos.  I added some sparkle to the drinks, clear gems and some white enamel dots.

Bee happy

Just a quickie post tonight ... I'm absolutely dosed with the cold and trying to watch Peaky Blinders in between blowing my nose! :(

My mojo is on sick leave too, so I did what I always do when I'm stuck ... go copy someone else!  This one's based on this weeks Splitcoaststampers Featured Stamper - here's Laura's original

I've used my sweet litlte Tracey Hey bee again, coloured with polychromos and popped up on foam pads.

From one Elf to Another

I'm in Christmas mode this weekend, and I've been playing with these cute MFT elves.

This first one also uses a Uniko stripey background stamp - I nearly went cross eyed colouring it, and then I decided it was way too much and my wee elf was totally lost in it so covered most of it up with a red strip!

Images coloured with polychromos and popped up on foam pads.
Clear gloss/glitter added to his hat and to the dog's antlers

And here's another little elf from the same MFT set.  This time I've added a die cut sentiment and snowflakes cut from glitter card, so there's lots of sparkle on this one!

Some mountains and a Bunny-Bee

I was asked to make a card for a young lad who fundraised for his school all summer by completing a 9-peaks mountain challenge. I was absolutely stumped until I remembered this little mountain range that I won ages back, it might be from Hero Arts but I wouldn't like to swear to it.

For such a simple card it took an absolute age to make and this is version #3!!  I stamped my mountains then masked them off and shadow stamped again.  I'm hoping he will know that it's supposed to be mountains! I was trying to get 9 peaks into my image but think I've only managed 8.  Ah well, he'll hardly notice haha.

And here's another one of my new Tracey Hey stamps, awwww so cute!
I've coloured my bunny-bee with polychromos and added clear gloss/glitter to his wings.  I added some hearts from the set and also used my Gummiapan burlap stamp for a faint background.
