Santa's been framed ;)

It's reminder time over at Naughty or Nice for this month's challenge of 'framed'

There's some vouchers for Bugaboo up for grabs this month, so play along and add your links over at the blog.

I've gone all Christmassy with mine :)  I've used an oldie Santa and porthole frame from MFT.  I popped the frame up on dimensionals and then tucked Santa's feet under and then popped his hat up on dimensionals too. I always think the more sparkle the better on a Christmas card, so I added glitter to his hat and went over his red suit with my clear sparkle pen. Oh and clear gloss to his boots, gloves and belt.  Little silver stars from stash.  And die cut sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Thank you flowers

I need a few thank you cards for my stash, so I've been colouring away this evening while watching the Bake Off - bread week doesn't really do it for me, I much prefer when they make the big fancy sugary creations that have your mouth drooling ;)

My first card uses this LOTV oldie, I think she may have been one of the first ones I bought.

Coloured with watercolour pencils; clear gloss added to the butterfly and the flower.

And this one is just a remake of yesterday's that I wasn't loving.  I'm definitely sticking to watercolour pencils in future ;)

Floral blues

I got my pencils out for a change - I haven't used them for ages and I think it's because I'm so out of love with them.  .
Anyway, here it is - a quick CAS card.  I know I would like this better if I'd used watercolour pencils.  I might remake it ;)
I've also added some blue and silver sequins and some sparkle to the flowers.
And {gasp} I've managed NOT to doodle a border hahaha

Birdies and Bunnies

Oh brrr it's been another cold draughty and wet day.  I managed to get the washing hung out earlier, but by the time I got to the last peg I had to bring it in again.  Mind you, I'd rather have my weather than Florida's!  It must be absolutely terrifying to be there.

I'm way behind in my card stash, so I've 2 to share tonight.
This one uses my MFT gulls - fussy cut and the guy on the post popped up on dimensionals.
I've embossed my clouds with and old Cuttlebug swirly folder, and the little post with squares (but then covered it up anyway with my twine bow!)  MFT Embroidery frame.

I've a few thank you cards to make, so for this one I've used this fave from LOTV.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and sparkle added to the blooms.  Green enamel dots to finish.  Nice and simple!
  • Layout from Sketch Saturday #480
  • Colour theme from Lili of the Valley's colour theme
  • AAA #98 - all creatures great or small
  • As you like it - flora or fauna - well I most definitely have waaaay more critter stamps than floral ones!  But of course I've used one with both options here ;)

A late calendar and a thank you

Lol I knew we'd never get 2 dry Saturday's in a row .. it poured all morning, but there was a quick window of sunshine in the afternoon so at least Rubydoo got her customary walk in the park.   A good day for crafting though!

So this is Mum's calendar page for the month ... and yes I know its the 9th but she's been on her jollies, so she'll never know how late it was ;)
Aaargh, I've just checked back in my blog and I've already used this girl on one of last year's pages, ah well, that'll teach me to check before I stamp!    Coloured with watercolour pencils.

And here's a super quick Thanks card ... not much to say about it really, except I love how it turned out!
I added some blue splatters and some glitter to the popped up heart.  Easy peasy.

September calendar

Just a quickie post tonight.  Grand Designs is on telly, one of my favourite programmes - I always love how Kevin McLoud starts the programme with an 'are you mad' attitude and ends with a Wow!

Anyway, I'm only about a week late with my calendar page for work this month ;)  I've used one of my new Katzelkraft stamps - I decided after I took the pic that he needed a bit of colour so I added pale grey to his body and also added clear gloss to his eyes and beak.  Clouds chalked in BG, bit of splattering, and the hint of a text BG stamp to finish.  I should have had my dates a bit higher as the last week gets a bit lost, but I'm off that week anyway so I'll not be looking at it!

Christmas Chicks

Just a wee quickie this evening - I'm hoping to get a few Christmas cards made this month to avoid the usual last minute rush.   My other new Christmas stamp is still on the missing list, I'd have thought it should have turned up by now.  Maybe I need to have a proper tidy up ;)

This one's from Whipper Snapper - coloured with watercolour pencils and then fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals.  Sentiment from Happy Little Stampers.  Clear gloss and glitter added to the hat / earmuffs, and clear gloss to their beaks.  Silver stars from Stash.
My doodled border is inspired by one I'd saved in Pinterest, but for some reason my crappy computer is refusing to open it so I can't give credit where it's due.

A two-fer ... cards for Karen and Jill

After such a beautiful day yesterday, today was a bit yeuch ... damp and drizzly so definitely no gardening or washing done today!  Rubydoo hates the rain so she's barely moved off the sofa all day, quite a few hours of snoozing have been clocked up!

Anyway, this first card is for a friend from work.  She's a florist too and makes the most beautiful flower arrangements, so I kinda had to make one with flowers on it.  I'm really rubbish at arranging flowers, so I'm quite pleased at how this turned out!
I hadn't intended my sentiment to stamp through the number but I masked off the wrong bit, but I quite like the effect!

The flowers and number are both Simon Says Stamp sets.

And while I was on a roll, my Sister needed a card for her sister-in-law so I made another much the same but on a slightly larger card base.

Naughty or Nice ... You've been framed

Oh wow, September already!  Where did summer go? .... oh yes, it was that fortnight at the start of July (and it's been pants ever since!!)  Though looking at the awful scenes in America, we've little to be complaining about.

Challenge time again over at Naughty or Nice and this month's topic is 'framed' - if you'd like to play along, please link your card over at the blog.  There's a prize up for grabs from Bugaboo too!

For my card I've used this oldie from Whipper Snapper - I tucked him into my frame and then popped his head up on dimensionals.  The BG is varying shades of Brushos with some text stamped over.
I hadn't intended on adding the little silver stars but as usual had an ooops that needed covering ;)

The Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge has started again so I'm hoping to play along
