Play along with your High Hopes stamps to win a new one of your choice :)

My card uses Birthday Fish - coloured with pencils and clear gloss added to his eyes and glitter to the bubbles.

Bunches of Love

It's a long weekend here, but I had to work this morning :(   Unfortunately we were outdoors and had an almighty downpour of rain that went on for aaaages ... and discovered that our work raincoats aren't actually rainproof!!  Ah well, it was good craic and I wasn't long drying off when I got home!

I was lucky enough to win one of Lili of the Valley's daily candy recently, so I had a wee play this afternoon.

Gertie, Millie & Hattie

Just a quickie post ... movie night here again!  Tonight's viewing is the last but one of the Breaking Dawn saga.  Hope it's better than the rest of the films - the books are always so much better aren't they!

This fun image is Gertie, Millie and Hattie from High Hopes.  Coloured with pencils and clear gloss added to their beaks and legs.  Clear bling added to all the flower centres.

60th Birthday Card

This was a special request for a 60th Birthday card .. bit of a last minute rush though as usual!!  I had planned to put her name on it but then kinda ran out of space ;)  Not sure why the photo is a bit fuzzy, must have wobbled when I took the pic!

A tad fishy?

This week's challenge at High Hopes is
Double Trouble
(use 2 High Hopes stamps or make 2 cards the same)  Play along with your High Hopes stamps to win a new one of your choice.

My card uses Bob and Bubbles and for such a CAS card it took aaaages to make!  It would have been a bit easier if I'd had some distress inks, but I don't so I used pencils to shade in the water. Then I masked off all my fishies and added some paint splatters.  There's probably a much easier way of doing it!  (actually now I think of it, I could have used my blue chalk for the water.  Doh!)  Bubbles are filled with clear gloss and glitter, and the red fish and sentiment panel are popped up on dimensionals.  Black enamel dots added for their eyes.

Spoutin' Off

It's been a damp old day today, I don't think it dried up at all the entire day :(
Mind you, it's perfect weather for NOT painting the fence, and having a nice lazy day and some crafty time instead :)

I LOVE how this card turned out!  It's based on this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast ... Here's Viv's original card.

My image is Spoutin' Off from High Hopes - coloured with pencils and clear gloss added to the water splashes.  White enamel dots and a clear sequin to finish.  The pale blue die cut at the top is from Paper Smooches.

Hanging on the Telephone

Our Receptionist is leaving in work, so I thought this would be the perfect image for her.  Can't remember the make of the stamp and I'm too comfy to get up and look!
Oh and in case you're wondering about her funny hair colouring  .. our Receptionist loves to dye her hair and at the minute it's blond and purple!

I've had a busy week, lots of extra hours worked at the Balmoral Show  - how anyone spends hours on their feet is beyond me, I was knackered!!  But it was great to see so many people having fun in the sunshine and all the animals too.  Then today I started painting my fence, though I guess it will just be target practice for the birds ;)

2nd Project Life layout

I'm trying to get my Project Life scrapbook going, and this is my 2nd completed page ... I've a few others on the go too, but they need need some faffing about and some mojo.  I'm hoping I discover my Project Life 'style' as I kinda feel like I'm groping in the dark with these!
I spent ages on this page this afternoon ... I originally had different filler cards and bases but couldn't get them to work, so in the end I pulled them all out and made my own using the colours of my lovely dress!  I've also {gasp} managed to use some washi tape!! Maybe it will have to be rescued from the wish I hadn't bought that pile! Hahaha.

Belated Birthday Card and Giro d'Italia pics

Just a quickie post from me tonight ... off for a few drinkies with friends :)

For my card I thought I'd go pink for the Giro d'Italia which passes the end of my road tomorrow.  Should be a sight to see!

Get Well Posey

Day 1 of my week off work and everything seemed to conspire against me today!  First off my power washer decided to start smoking instead of cleaning, so out came my scrubbing brush and bleach instead! Then every time I went out to the garden or to clean my windows the rain came on!  I'm so hoping our weather wises up a bit for the Giro d'Italia ... the North Coast looks amazing in sunshine but won't look half so grand in the pouring rain!

This was a quickie request for a get well card, so I just used the Muse inspiration again.  I love this layout, and great for using up those pretty scraps of DP too.  Whipper Snapper stamp - coloured with pencils.

Gingham Baby card

This was just a wee quickie baby card that was inspired by Vicki's card over at the Muse challenge, combined with the colour theme at The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired challenge.  I love this layout, think I'll definitely be using this one again!
I fussy cut my wee elephant and added some clear gloss and glitter to the wee heart.

Hey There!

It's been a typical Bank Holiday here .... rainy!  So no outdoors tidying for me!  We had a nice lazy day instead and watched some movies this morning (haven't watched Goodbye Mr Chips for years!) and then some crafty time this afternoon :)

This is a Whipper Snapper image that I bought in the sale a few months ago ... coloured with pencils.  Sentiment from Paper Smooches.  Taylored Expressions notebook die and woodware flower punch.

Girly Birthday

I've hardly any of my staple cards left in my stash, so hopefully this week I'll get some girly, male, sympathy and baby cards made.
This one uses an Uptown Girls image - coloured with pencils.  I've always struggled with my shading, but have discovered if you put a light layer of colour on, then blend it, you can then just pencil in your darker shading and don't bother blending again.  Much easier!

41 crafty projects!

Phew.  Thank goodness it's Saturday ... and a whole week off for me.  Yippee :)
I've lots planned for my week off - I want to get my driveway power hosed and weeded (it's turned into a bit of a jungle!), paint my fence (weather permitting), a big flower show to go to, and the Giro d'Italia passes the end of my road on Saturday so I'm looking forward to that too!  The whole country has gone pink in honour of it (I've never seen so many pink bicycles in shop windows!!) - I'll hopefully share some pics after the big event.

I had a busy week crafting this week. My boss asked me on Tuesday for 40 birthday invites which she needed by the end of the week.  So Tuesday night was spent making a couple of samples and then Wed and Thurs evenings to make them.  I kept them reasonably simple - just a DL size card with the party info printed on the back, clouds chalked on, grass border punch and an old Sizzix balloon die that I don't think I've ever actually used.  Ah well, thank goodness they're done now.  Never again!  I'd like to add these in to the Top Tip Tuesday challenge - numbers

Today's card uses this cute image from Whipper Snapper - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to the wee mouse's nose.
I liked the layout from Sketch Saturday as it gave me a chance to show off this beautiful DP.  Memory Box corner die; woodware corner punch.
