Get Well kitties

I've no get well cards in my stash either, so it's a bit of a depressing lot of cards tonight! ;)

This one uses an Eat Cake Graphics stamp ...
2048-L Kities in the Window
Coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals.

Sympathy Cards

I've had an extra long weekend with the Bank Holiday :) I've been busy decorating and what not so I had a nice lazy crafty day today.

I've no sympathy cards in my stash so used this Whipper Snapper stamp and my LOTV paper.

Card 1
Coloured with watercolour pencils and Wink of Stella added to the flowers, and then popped up on dimensionals.  Dienamics border die.  Paper Smooches sentiment.

Card 2
Image again coloured with watercolour pencils and Wink of Stella added to the flowers.

40th Birthday Card

I've had no mojo all week so it was a bit of a struggle to make this card,!  If my memory serves correctly I think Nicola's a big fan of giraffes, so hopefully she likes this!

I've used an old Whipper Snapper stamp - coloured with watercolour pencils and then Wink of Stella added to his markings.  I've chalked my background using an MFT stencil.  Sparkly peel off numbers from stash, and Paper Smooches sentiment / alpha / heart die.

Get Well Bunny

I found this old DP in my stash and thought it might make a nice 'duvet' for my wee sick bunny's bed.

My image is from LOTV - coloured with watercolour pencils and Wink of Stella added to the grapes and to his medicine.

Get the wine chilled ....

Just a quickie visit to blogland tonight ... it's sing-along-a-telly with Les Miserables this eve :)   Russell Crowe's not the best singer in the world (and a few bum notes from the lovely Hugh Jackman), but then I couldn't hit those notes myself!

This card uses a Stamping Bella image 'Felicity and Blair' - coloured with watercolour pencils and some wink of Stella added to the lace on their dresses and to the cupcakes.
Sentiment from my MFT penguin set, but I thought it went well with my wine theme ;)
Memory Box vine die.

Layout from Bellarific Friday #17

Party till the cows come home

Heee, I love this little cows from MFT ... and of course some googly eyes makes them even more hilarious!  Coloured with watercolour pencils; wink of stella and clear gloss added to their horns and hooves.  Central cow popped up on dimensionals.
Lawn Fawn cloud die.

Birthday Pinkness

I'd seen a while back on someone's blog that they'd used funky foam with sentiment die cuts so I thought I'd give it a go as I've had a pack of this stuff in my stash for years!  I've used a Simon Says sentiment and puppy from Eat Cake Graphics
3008-D Callie's Looking down
Puppy coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals.
I watercoloured a strip behind my dotty panel (Dienamics die) and had meant to have it on the other side of my card but chomped the wrong corner ;)
Clear gems from stash.

70th Birthday card for Maureen

Boohoo Sunday evening already and back to the grindstone tomorrow after my week off.  Feels like I've been off for ages though ... lots done round the house, painted my kitchen and a few days out and about too.  Wee pic below of Rubydoo in the blossom at Mount Stewart (if you haven't been, the gardens are fabulous!)

This card uses one of the new stamps that I'd bought in Lili of the Valley's last sale.  Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Clear gloss added to his nose, and Wink of Stella to the roses.  My rose in the corner uses the Scribbles die from Die-namics ... I stuck it over a snippet of DP and then fussy cut it out.  If I was making this again I'd have my 'rose' the same colour as the ones the puppy has.
Silver peel off letters and pink bling from stash.  Sentiment / alpha set from Paper Smooches.  Embroidered rectangle also from Dienamics.

MFT Summer School ... Asymmetry

This is my effort for the MFT Summer School - asymmetry.

I've used Krafty Kate, a recent prize from Stamp and Create, and she was an absolute pleasure to colour with my watercolour pencils.
I coloured her hair much the same as I would have with copics ... a light colour wash first and then I pick the colour up direct from my pencil tip with my brush and just flick it through, then get a darker colour and just flick near the ends where I want the shading to be darkest.

DP is oldie stuff from stash ... I always pick my DP first and then colour my image, just makes things so much easier!

MFT Summer School ... Symmetry

So I've been playing along with MFT's Summer School today and the lesson is Symmetry and Asymmetry.  Hopefully I'll have some time tomorrow to have a go at some of the other lessons.

This is my symmetrical effort.  I've used Where the Milk and Cookies go from Eat Cake Graphics.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and then fussy cut and popped up on dimensionals.  I also used Happy Birthday block and then thought it could be a little picture so drew in some lines and a little silver disc sticker to hang it with :)  Sentiment at bottom from The Alley Way Stamps.  Hand doodled border.
I also managed to use some of my unloved and unused washi tape ... Go Me!!

ETA: I won at Simon Says Stamp :)

Get Well Kitties

Awww how cute are those little kitties, look at their sweet little faces!  And what would kittens be peeping out at, other than a little mouse in his mousehole ;)

My kittens are from Eat Cake Graphics ...
2048-L Kitties in the window
Sentiment from The Alley Way Stamps and mouse from My Favourite Things - BB I Knead You

Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Wink of Stella added to the kittens' collars for a bit of sparkle.  DP from Lili of the Valley.

Merry ChristMoose

I'm on a mission to use up my un-loved DPs in an effort not to buy more!  This lot has been in my stash for a while and seems to be never ending, at this rate it will be about 5 years down the line before I get to buy new Christmas stash ;)

My image and sentiment are from Sugar Pea Designs - coloured with watercolour pencils and some wink of Stella added to his scarf and antlers.
Paper Smooches snowflake die.  White enamel dots for snow and then Frosted Lace stickles for the snow on the ground.

Lewis and Trudy

I do love a good sketch and when I saw the new one at Sweet Sunday I immediately saw the strip at the back as a road!  Think it was maybe because I was looking at this car stamp earlier in the week when I was rooting through my stash.

This is another Eat Cake Graphics stamp:
8016-E Lewis and Trudy's Wild Ride
It's only little, but it's definitely one of my favourites!

Coloured with my watercolour pencils.  I added some Wink of Stella and then some clear gloss to the chrome on the car.  I hadn't intended to add the flowers until I had an incident with my clear gloss that needed covering, but I love how it turned out ... looks like the puppy has his head out the window to sniff the flowers!
I had intended to use a couple of staples to the left of the image, but I've ran out and can't find my refill grrr.  Sentiment from an Alley Way Stamps set.

Kitties and Puppies

Happy Sunday peeps.  I've had a lazy day today, and spent it making a few cards (don't worry, I'll only share two this evening LOL)

I've used a bit of a mixture of stamps here ...
The row of animals is from Eat Cake Graphics:
8008-I Kitties and puppies (row)
My sentiment is from The Alley Way Stamps and the little mousie is from My Faourite Things BB I Knead You

Coloured with watercolour pencils, and then the BG splattered with the same colours.

Cow cards

Well it's raining yet again, but we had a lovely summery morning at Ballycastle beach (pic below) ... I couldn't believe how few people were on it!  :)  I'm off now for a week yippee, so it was a nice start to my hols to get a paddle and an ice cream in the sunshine!

I was lucky to win one of the MFT challenges recently so I picked this set as my prize ... The Whole Herd.  I love that cow's slightly surprised expression!

Card 1:

I masked off my cow a couple of times to make this crowd scene and used my Dienamics photo die.  Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Silver sequins from stash.  Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Card 2:

I used my MFT stencil to make a cow print background.  Cow coloured with watercolour pencils and Wink of Stella added to the pink on his face, and then popped up on dimensionals.    I always love a googly eye :)

Beautiful Ballycastle, Co Antrim ...

CAS sympathy card

Just a quickie visit to blogland tonight ... The Great British Bake Off is on the telly :) Yummmmmmm!  Downside is of course the visit to my cupboards looking for something 'nice' after watching it.  Think there may be slim pickings though!

This card uses this beautiful stamp from Lili of the Valley.  Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Sentiment from The Alley Way Stamps.  Pearls from stash.  Dienamics embroidered rectangle die.

Christmas card #08

So my Christmas card drive isn't going too well ... instead of one a week I'm averaging one a month.  Could be a few store bought cards at this rate ;)

This fab image is
8102-M Not a Creature Stirring (scene)
from Eat Cake Graphics.  I've coloured it with watercolour pencils and added some red stickles to their candy canes.  Green gems from stash.  Paper Smooches snowflake die.
Old DP from a never ending stash ;)
