Two Hoppers

Just a quickie visit to blogland tonight - Poldark's on the telly and last week's was a {{shocker}}!  Can't wait to see what happens tonight :)

Anyway, I've a bit of a hoppy theme with these cards.  The first uses my new Tiddly Inks stamp - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to her pogo stick.
Oh, and whoever has hidden my flower dies would you please return them.  I spent about half an hour searching for them earlier and they're still not to be found.

Here's a quickie get well card - I've seen a few images recently with minimal colouring, so thought I'd have a go.  My little bunny is an oldie from Lili of the Valley - coloured with watercolour pencils; sparkle added to the medicine and grapes; clear gloss added to the spoon and grapes.  Dotty orange washi tape.

Kitties Galore

I can't believe it's nearly the end of October already, this year has whizzed by!  I'm not looking forward to our clocks changing tonight, I hate coming home in the dark and it'll only be a few weeks before it's dark in the mornings heading to work too.
Anyway, enough waffle, here's a couple of cards for you!  I usually don't make square cards, but I ordered the wrong size envelopes so you'll be seeing more of them ;)

My Christmas one features Not a Creature Stirring (Scene) from Eat Cake Graphics.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to the candy cane.  Snowflake die from Paper Smooches.

I had this really pretty sailboat DP in my stash ... but I managed to cover it all up.  Doh!
My image is Kitty on Rocks from Eat Cake Graphics.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and some sparkle added to my little fishie.

Two the same but different

Awww, last night of the Bake Off on telly, we're cheering for our local lad Andrew of course!  Wouldn't it be lovely to be there with your fork for a good old taste ;)  I'll have to make do with my Mr Kipling cake and cuppa!

I need some sympathy cards for my stash, so made it easy for myself by using the same Whipper Snapper stamp and the same DP pack.
I didn't have the right shade of watercolour pencil so mixed a couple together and think they turned out ok.
I also added sparkle to the flowers and a few random bits of bling.

Card 2 was a bit of a rush job as I was on a tight schedule for GBBO starting!  I've yet to add the sparkle to the flowers, but I'll do that tomorrow.

Cows and Indians ;)

Ack, I've no mojo this weather, he's up and left me and gone to sunnier, warmer climes!  But my stash is low so I'm ploughing on!  Plus I usually gift some of my cards at Christmas, so I need to get an extra pile made too.  Maybe I need a few days off work to stay in my PJs and get inky ;)

Anyway, my first card uses and ooooooldie stamp from Penny Black.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to his horns and hooves.  White flowers covered with my clear glitter pen.

  • Layout from Sugar Pea Mix it Up challenge #18
  • Allsorts #386 - sparkle and shine
  • As You Like It - new or old stash - well both actually!  I love new DPs and tend to use all the nice pages first (then the pack gets stuck in my To Use bag), but equally I love some of my older stamps.  This little cow is maybe 10 years old I'm sure, and still sees ink quite often!
  • Fab'n Funky #323 - fabulous flowers

I haven't tidied my stash properly for a few weeks (bad me), so this little indian girl was still knocking aobut.  I've coloured her with watercolour pencils to match my snazzy DP and added sparkle to her feathers and the flower.  Gold sequins from stash.

On the nice list

Yummmmm it's patisserie week on Bake Off this week, I'd LOVE to be there for a taster ;)  I reckon the best I can do tonight is a choccy biccie from the cupboard if I'm lucky :(

Here's a super quick Christmas card.  I've based it on Cornelia's fab card over at Muse Christmas Visions:

For mine, I used this old and unloved Marianne Designs Christmas tree die that I 'had to have' a few years back and I've barely used since!  I used some snazzy DP here - the silver pattern in it looks like tinsel!

November calendar

Brrr, it was a cold windy day today, the first day that it felt like winter was on it's way.  Time to dig out the winter boots I think!
I'm ahead of myself with my calendar page (for a change!)  I've used my new girl from Whiff of Joy and my little Firefly bug in the corner is from Eat Cake Graphics.  All coloured with watercolour pencils.  Flowers and the bug's wings covered with my clear glitter pen, and clear gloss to the flower pot.
I've actually managed to write in my dates straight ... it's only taken about 2 years of practice ;)

New Stash

It was a bit of an icky day today, so no gardening for me, my housework was all done, so I treated myself to a load of crafting!  These are all from my haul from Bunny Zoe's Crafts sale, I know it looks like I had a massive spending spree but I think it all came to about £25!  Though I also had a bit of a spree at the new Range shop that's just opened and added to my stash of papers!  Oops ;)

This one uses this sweet image from Marianne Designs.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals.  Spellbinders sentiment frame and some blue enamel dots.

Card 2 uses this new doggy stamp from Wags and Whiskers .... as if I didn't have enough doggy stamps already LOL!
I've based it on this week's featured stamper challenge at Splitcoast - here's Jaydee's fab original.
Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Balloon covered with my clear sparkle pen and then clear gloss.  Red enamel dots add to his hat.  Nice and simple!
And finally, this one uses my new stamp from Nellie Snellen.  I paper pieced her cactus and flower, and added sparkle and clear gloss to her feathers.  I kinda wish I'd stamped her a bit lower down, she looks a bit floaty!
Fancy frame for my sentiment is an oldie die from Dienamics.

Right, that's me.  I'll be oogling the gorgeous Mr Poldark for the next hour in case you're looking for me ;)  And if you don't watch it, here's what you're missing!

Two pink ladies

Eeek it's the 15th of October already, and you know what that means? ..... only 2 more pay days till Christmas!!  Scary when you say it like that eh?

Anyway, this is my mid-post DT card for the Naughty or Nice challenge of Spooky Sistahs or Wild Wild Women - I've gone for the wild and free look with this fab stamp from Eat Cake Graphics - Auntie Daisy enjoys freedom.  I thought my card needed 'something' so I also added little Daisy Mouse in the bottom corner.
I went for the bokeh effect on my base - I chalked in some circles and some cloud shapes, but it just looks like a fudgey mess here ;)

This cutie is one of my new purchases from Bunny Zoe's sale - from Whiff of Joy.  I love her!
I hadn't intended to add the little pink flower at her feet but I had an Oops that needed covering ;)
Coloured with watercolour pencils.

Elf News

I had an evening with a difference, we were out listening to the stars in our local park!  I think the jist of it is the size, speed and brightness of the stars passing by the North Star were demonstrated as a sound and when you stood in the middle of a circle of speakers the effect was really spooky!  It really made you think about all that's going on in the universe that we really are never aware of.  Oh, and we saw the Space Station when we were there, so that was great too!
LOL, I've just noticed the amount of exclamation marks I've used!!

Anyay this card uses more of my new goodies ... the spellbinders banner die.  I've fancied these for ages, and the bargain over at Bunny Zoe's 70% sale was too good to resist.
I've also used my little elf from Eat Cake Graphics - Christmas is Coming (elf with newspaper)
Coloured with watercolour pencils and I went over his gloves + scarf with my clear glitter pen, and then clear gloss + glitter to his hat.  I also chalked behind my image in blue, but it hasn't shown up very well in my photo.  Paper Smooches snowflake dies.

New Goodies and Betty's birthday card

LOL, another 'one of those days' in work again, so another couple of cards for you this evening  #stressrelief
Hopefully I'll not be sharing any cards tomorrow night ;)

On the bright side, I'd a parcel of crafty goodness waiting on me coming home. I got some real bargains from Bunny Zoe's Crafts 70% off closing down sale.  So sad though, they were a pleasure to do business with and everything always arrived very promptly.

This little guy is one of my newbies from Nellie Snellen, isn't he a cutie.  I've used some older DPs that I've always disliked, but I stuck with it and think it looks OK.

This one is for my SIL's birthday and I'm so pleased with how it turned out.
My inspiration came from Tracey's beautiful card over at the Muse challenge:

I've used an older set from Power Poppy.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and the flowers are all covered with my clear glitter pen so it's lovely and sparkly in real life.

Snowdude and a Birthday Mouse

I'd one of 'those days' in work today, so offloaded some stress with some cardmaking this evening ;)

This card was inspired by this week's Featured Stamper challenge over at Splitcoast - here's Francie's original.

For mine I used Snowman (Assembled) my all time favourite stamp from Eat Cake Graphics, and All is Calm (text).   Coloured with watercolour pencils and then I covered his body and head with my clear glitter pen.  His scarf and band on his hat are covered with clear gloss and glitter, and then if that wasn't enough sparkle I added some clear stickles for the snow.
Old Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder.

Here's a real quickie!  Just a sentiment stamp and this olide from Whipper Snapper.  I think I used over a dozen of my watercolour pencils on this one!  I thought it needed a wee touch of something, so I added some clear gloss to the petals after I'd taken this pic.

A dinner date?

Nah, I don't think I'd entirely trust that dude for dinner either ;)

This is Count Bitesalot from Eat Cake Graphics, and A little Bite (Text)
Coloured with watercolour pencils, and I also added some clear sparkle over the purple on his cape.  I heat embossed Bert Batula on the background - it's been such a long time since I used my black EP that some of it had solidified into balls so when I tipped it up to cover my page it went EVERYWHERE.  Damp cloths and vacuum cleaner required, what a mess.

My base card is actually along the same shade as the purple in his cape, but for some reason looks nothing like it here!  Copule of blobs of black enamel dots and a doodled border to finish.

This card is also posted over at A Sprinkling of Samples and Techniques blog, where you'll find lots more loveliness from Eat Cake Graphics

A red bride and some sympathy cards

We'd a gorgeous sunny and bright day today, a really perfect Autumnal day.  The leaves are starting to drop and are lovely and crunchy - some day when we win the Lottery I'd love to go to New England to see all those beautiful trees.  Our leaves are much more boring here!

This is another special request ... I've never made a wedding card with a red bride's dress before, but I think this is for an Indian wedding (or it might have been Chinese) not sure.  I probably should have had a bit of gold on it somewhere but it's too late now!  That'll teach me to google it before I make the card instead of after ;)
Image from Lili of the Valley.
Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Clear gloss and glitter added to her white flowers.  Paper Smooches sentiment & alpha set.
I've no sympathy cards in my stash, so I was inspired by this week's Featured Stamper at Splitcoast - here's Francie's original.  I used this old set from Stampin' Up - I can't remember the name and the gorgeous Poldark is on the telly so there's no way I'm getting up to check!
Coloured with watercolours, and then covered with clear sparkle and then clear gloss.

A personalised birthday card

This was a special request from a Mum to her son .... I was a bit worried about getting all her text onto my card, but think it worked out OK.  I didn't quite manage to balance it top and bottom, so added a little row of bling to take up that bit of space.

I've no idea what Kale is like, but most boys are permanently hungry so I thought these Tim Holtz stamps would work well!  My sun and cloud are Lawn Fawn dies.

Hedgie Thanks

It always takes me a wee while to get crafting again after a time off ... I reckon Mr Mojo is still sunning himself on that beach in Albufeira!!

For this card I took inspiration from Birgit's beautiful card at the CASE the Designer challenge at Happy Little Stampers.  I copied Birgit's idea of stamping some text on the BG and followed her general layout with the central panel and the sentiment coming off it.

My image is an oldie from Penny Black.  Coloured with watercolour pencils, clear gloss added to the snail's shell and sparkle to the welly boot.  Dienamics circular dies.
