Blue Sympathy

White based cards normally aren't my thing, but Marlies beautiful inspiration card over at AAA Cards certainly got me thinking!  I need some sympathy cards for my stash so used this old Altenew set - I think this particular stamp has never seen ink before!

My foliage in the background used up some white scraps - sorry I've no idea of the brands.  Flowers popped up on foam pads and silver gems added to the centres.  I coloured them blue thinking they kinda looked like forget-me-nots.

AAA Cards #282 - follow the leader
Addicted to CAS #274 - blue
Snippets Playground #498 - my white die cuts
My Time to Craft #551 - use a sentiment on

This is so pretty! I love your layers and the white foliage in the background. I have to remember that technique. I think it adds just the right amount of interest and texture. Your coloring is always wonderful, and you're right--those flowers do look like Forget-Me-Nots!

Your white snippets look like an embossed background - a very effective and lovely technique. The floral spray adds a nice bit of colour and is just right for a sympathy card.

Thanks for coming to play in the Snippets Playground. See you up in the treehouse shortly. Heating up some breakfast croissants in the new microwave!!! X

What a delightful Sympathy Card (if there is such a thing) but loving the white die cuts under the wee forget-me-knots, which must be the perfect flower for a Sympathy card. Thanks for being inspired and playing along with us at AAA Cards.

I love the plain white elements in the background. They add fabulous texture without detracting from that wonderful focal element. Such a peaceful sympathy card. So glad you shared this with us at Addicted to CAS this week
