February calendar

One of my Christmas presents to my Mum was a little handmade calendar ... I ran out of time to get the whole year done (she ended up with only January!) and as you can see I'm still flying close to the wire ;)
I'd bought some preprinted calendars but they were quite small and hard to read, so this one is 'recycled' from a freebie calendar from a local company.
My bunny is an oldie stamp from The Cats Pyjamas - coloured with watercolour pencils.  Sky chalked with clouds.  Border is a Memory Box die and the little heart die from Paper Smooches.

Card for Uncle Ivan

This card is for my Uncle who's spent most of his life in Canada.  I thought I'd use this older High Hopes image - Team Canada.  I've had it for a while but it's the first time its seen ink ... bad me!
I've coloured it with watercolour pencils ... oops went shopping and bought a few more of these :)  I've had a few brands of w/colour pencils before and thought they were just OK, but I LOVE these Derwent Inktense ones.
Clear gloss added to their noses.  Silvery peel off numbers from stash.  I kinda ran out of room for my sentiment but just about managed to squeeeeeze it in.  Taylored Expressions scallop border die.  Spellbinders circles.  Woodware corner punch.

Xmas card #3

I'm determined to crack on with my Christmas cards this year, so if I can keep this pace up I'll be doing well :)

This card is based on Tracy's card, this week's featured stamper at Splitcoast.  I used stamps from the same MFT set and used my Simon Says Stamp Christmas snow stencil on my red base.  Images coloured with watercolour pencils and my Santa popped up on dimensionals.  Chalked sky just behind Santa.

Oh, and here's a wee pic of my nephew with the card he made for his wee sister.  The only help I gave him was sticking it down on the card base and showing him how to chalk the sky ... is't his card fab!

Leaving card for Will

This card is for one of our European volunteers in work who's placement time is up.   He's a very tall lad, thus the giraffe!  And if you haven't guessed from the colour theme, he's also Spanish!

Giraffe from Whipper Snapper - coloured with watercolour pencils.  Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Silver peel off letters and sparkly border strips from stash

Dotty Friend

This is just a wee quick CAS card for a friend of my Mum.
Image from Tiddly Inks - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to the balloons.

Christmas Card #2

Brrrr it's been such a cold day today, so glad of my cosy boots and now my super cosy onesie!
Wouldn't it be lovely to be able to wear them to work ... not the prettiest nor most flattering things in the world though!! ;)

This card uses some stamps from SugarPea Designs - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss and glitter added to his scarf.

Pretty in pink

I came across this wee stamp when I was looking for another, as yet unfound, stamp ... obviously my filing/sorting system still needs a bit of attention!

Image from Lili of the Valley - coloured with watercolour pencils.  Paper Smooches heart die, Taylored Expressions notebook edge die.

DPs are oldies from my stash ... some of the 'too nice to use' pile!  Pink gems also from stash.

Good luck card

This card is for a colleague in work who's leaving ... I'm hoping that Mr Google translated this correctly and that my sentiment does actually say 'Good Luck Natasza' in Polish!

Image from Lili of the Valley - coloured with watercolour pencils.  I also splattered my bg with some red watercolours. Gold peel off stickers. Marta Stewart butterfly punch.  Sentiment popped up on dimensionals.  I also went with a general red/white theme for the colours of the Polish flag, but I guess nobody but me will know that!

Card for Uncle Ivan

My mojo is still on his Christmas holidays and I've spent most of my time this week on Pinterest and crafty websites ... so I figured it was about time I got inky!
This card was effort No2 ... the first one didn't quite turn out as planned and ended up in the recycle pile ;)

Stamp from Whipper Snapper - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to their noses.  Sky chalked using a cloud stencil.  Woodware corner punch; dienamics star stack dies.

Taking a Break

No, not me ... that's what my stamp's called ;)
Though I think my Mojo's definitely on a break, so I've been a good girl and have tidied my stash to try and get it into some sort of order.  How did I ever end up having that much STUFF?!!

Stamp from High Hopes new release - Taking a Break - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to his hooves and horns.  The sentiment is an older HH stamp - Herd Birthday

Xmas card #01 !!!!!

Ha, yes you read that right!  Now that I don't have to make Christmas cards, I find myself missing my snowflakes and sparkle!

I'd been trying to get my mitts on these MFT stamps before Christmas but couldn't find them in stock, but sure they will be handy for next year's cards.  Usual statement follows ..... I'm not going to leave everything till the last minute this year blah blah blah ;)
We'll see!

Coloured with watercolour pencils, stickles added to the reindeer's nose, and Santa's buckle and hat.  Paper Smooches snowflake dies double mounted so they stood out a bit, and some bling added to the centre.  Still nice and flat though for postage :)

Hope you'll stop by tomorrow if you get a chance ... there's some High Hopes candy to be won!

High Hopes New Release Peek Day 1 - Ladybug Love

We have a new artist in the house at High Hopes - Dina Gerner - so we've all been playing with our new stamps!  Pop over to High Hopes blog for more peeks - we'll be showing off the new release all this week and then there will be candy to be won on a hop on Thursday, so I hope you'll join us!

Oh and by the way, High Hopes have a DT call on until 31 Jan - you don't need to use High Hopes stamps to make the team as you'll be provided with any stamps you need.

My image is called Ladybug Love (available to purchase on Thursday) - I've coloured her with watercolour pencils and then added some white enamel dots to her wings, and black stickles to her nose and antennae and orange stickles to the flower centre.  I hadn't intended to add sequins, but I ended up with a splodge that needed hiding ;)

Butterfly Birthday

Well here we are, January again ... not a chocolate nor drop of drink left in the house! Good job there's plenty of room in my new onesie, definitely need a major cut in calories!

This card uses a cute butterfly from The Alley Way Stamps.  I'd coloured it differently and then decided I didn't like it, so coloured another and fussy cut it out - I've stuck the body down flat and then the wings are popped up on dimensionals, so you can see a touch of the old colour underneath.  My pretty DP was bought in the January sales - from My Mind's Eye.
Wish I'd stamped my sentiment more in line with my banners though, I'd just touched the paper with it when I thought of it, ah well :(
