A fishy card!

Yippeee I've finally managed to totally use up a paper stack, these are the very last remnants!  I'd already decided to use this sweet stamp from Eat Cake Graphics, so how pleased was I when I flipped one of the snippets over and there was some little fishies!  :)

This image couldn't be any easier to colour ... I used my watercolour pencils and then added some Wink of Stella to the little fish.

Stamp used:
2049-G Kitty on Rocks

This card is also posted over at A Sprinkling of Samples and Techniques blog, where you'll find lots more loveliness from Eat Cake Graphics

Up, up and away

I need a few male birthday cards for my stash, so I've used this oldie but the maker's name escapes me just at the minute.
Coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals.  Wink of Stella added to the green band.  I had a little snippet of this green card on my desk so used my Martha Stewart grass punch.  Lawn Fawn cloud die.

Snowy Snowman

Yip, it's my snowman of the season from Eat Cake Graphics ..
1193-J Snowman (assembled)
8234-F All is calm  (text)

I'm slowly getting there with my Christmas cards, and managed to get most of my shopping done on Black Friday (don't think our shops were as crazy as they be in the US).  Maybe this will be the first year ever I'm organised and no pre-Christmas panic!!!!!!

Image coloured with watercolour pencils.  Wink of Stella added to his scarf and the big snowflake.  Clear gloss added to the band on his hat and buttons.  White enamel dots added to the snowflakes on my DP.

Card for Will

I've been making cards for Will for quite a few years now, I reckon he must be maybe 7 or 8 by now - my friend who runs a doggy charity requests one for him every year, so it's always a challenge to remember which doggy stamps I've used before LOL!

This one is from Eat Cake Graphics ...
3003-G Rowley jumps yippee

Coloured with watercolour pencils and red stickles added to his collar.  I also chalked in some clouds but it doesn't really show up well in the pic.
I came across this old paw print punch in my stash, so added the red circular accents so that I could use it ;)
Sentiment / alpha set from Paper Smooches.

Purple sympathy card

I've dipped into my unloved stash of DP for this card ... so it was never going to end well ;)
I think it looks a wee bit drab, though it looks a bit better in real life as I added some Wink of Stella on the flowers and some clear gems for a bit of sparkle.
I've used my sympathy-go-to-stamp from Whipper Snapper - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to the flower centres.

Peekaboo Bunny

Just a wee quick card from me tonight, using one of the new Stamping Bella images Peekaboo Bunny that I won in their recent hop :)
I've coloured it with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals.  Wink of Stella added to the ribbon and dots of Stickles to the box, so it's lovely and sparkly.  Couple of sequins to finish.  Super old much unloved DP from stash.

Golf Captain's card

This is another special request card for a new Lady Captain of a local golf club.
I hadn't quite intended for it to be so bright, but I found some DP from a nearly-used-up stack and wanted rid of it ... so I don't feel so guilty buying more in the January sales Heeee  ;)

My image is from High Hopes - coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals. Clear gloss added to her golf club and buttons.

The oddest Anniversary card ever?

OK, so my brief for this anniversary card was for a workmate's husband who's a bit geeky with glasses and loves books and their cat!  (Her words, not mine!) Think I have it covered there ;)

I used a few sets from Paper Smooches - coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to his boots and specs.
Peel off sentiment ... went a bit wonky though, think my '12' maybe isn't on a matching slant to the words?

My card was inspired by Tracey's card over at the Muse Challenge .. I used her general layout with an image in the bottom corner, sentiment in the top, and a coloured base.  I had a little snippet of green card left, so used my Paper Smooches heart die to add a bit of love to the card!

Moo-chas Grass-ias

I came across this Penny Black cow in my stash today ... and then spent about another half hour looking for this sentiment that was hiding in another box!  Glad I found it, I do love a silly greeting ;)

Coloured with watercolour pencils, outlined with dots from a copic marker.  Glear gloss added to her boots and horns.   MFT embroidered frame die.

Peeking Giraffe

Well thankfully our snow didn't hang around too long ... far too early in the year for that nonsense ;)

I've been rooting through my older stamps today and found this cutie from Whipper snapper.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and Wink of Stella added to his darker markings.
I chalked up my MFT giraffe stencil for the BG with blue and green chalks.   Giraffe and sentiment both popped up on dimensionals.

Naughty or nice?

Oooh it's all starting to feel very Christmassy isn't it?  I really need to get myself sorted and get some pressies bought, or nobody will be getting anything ;)

I love these MFT Santa stamps - coloured with watercolour pencils.  Lts of clear gloss and giltter added to Santa's hat; clear gloss to their boots and his belt; Wink of Stella added to the little girls scarf and mittens.  Clear Stickles added for snow.

Special delivery

It's such a cold cold evening here, and is now snowing. Brrrrrr.    Cosy PJs and slippers me thinks ;)

I never seem to have the right type of baby card .. if I'm looking for a baby girl card in my stash I'll only have boy cards, and vice versa.  So I thought I'd solve this with a more neutral colour theme!

My image is from Lili of the Valley - coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals.  Wink of stella added to the little teddy and to the green stripes on his/her babygro.  I coloured a strip of white card with my green pencil and then used it to cut out the Die-namics heart border die and my little tab.  I used the cut outs of the border to add the little hearts in the corner.  Die-namics embroidered frame.

Purple Bear

This is another card based on Rambling Boots gallery over at Splitcoast ... I could have CASEd her cards all day long :)  This one is based on Jo's card HERE

I chalked my background ... couldn't find any of my sponges so I had a very purple finger by the time I was finished ;)  My image is Arthur Alooishus from Eat Cake Graphics and Happy Birthday sentiment too.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals.  Wink of Stella added to his jumper for lots of sparkle.  Pink and silver sequins from stash.

  • Pile It On #95 - any holiday / celebration
  • Sweet Stampin - wrap up warm
  • CASual Fridays CFC145 - precious metals
  • Fab'n Funky #281 - clean and simple
  • As You Like It - favourite hobby - mine's cardmaking!  I used to do a lot of cross stitch, but then there's the hassle of framing them and finding somewhere to hang them ... I much prefer taking a pic of a card I've created and then it's in the out box ;)
  • Seize the Birthday - anything goes

Party 'til the cows come home

I's been another dark dreary damp day here, so I just treated myself to a nice lazy/eating/crafting/snoozy/TV day.  No sign of the ironing getting done yet ;)

I had a great time mooching round Rambling Boots gallery, this week's featured stamper over at Splitcoast.  This card is based on her card HERE.  I kept her farmyard animal theme and general layout.

I love this cow and sentiment from an MFT set ... and of course googly eyes always go down well eh?  Coloured with watercolour pencils.  clear gloss added to his hooves and horns.  Green sequins from stash.

Snowy Santa

I'm still slogging away at my Christmas cards ... I love this Santa set from MFT!

I've coloured my Santa with watercolour pencils, stickles added to his hat and clear gloss to his belt and boots.  Paper Smooches snowflake dies and sentiment die from Simon Says Stamp.  White enamel dots for falling snow.

A Sad Giraffe

I've been on a lucky streak recently ... this cuuuute giraffe was part of a prize package from Stamping Bella's latest release....
Gigi the giraffe Stuffie

I've coloured him with watercolour pencils and added some Stella to the flower centres.  Clear gloss added to the flowerpot ribbon.  Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  Pretty DP from the Simon Says Stamp November kit.
Clear gems added to the butterflies.

Autumnal Thanks

I was very lucky to win a Simon Says monthly kit in one of their hops, so I was delighted when the postie delivered it today.  It started raining this morning and hasn't stopped since, so what else would I be doing but having a wee play?  Could have done my ironing I suppose.... ;)

These pretty DPs and stamps were part of the set.  I've watercoloured my images and added some Wink of Stella to the leaves.  Piece of pie popped up on dimensionals.  Dienamics embroidered frame.

I'm pleased with my colouring on this one ... I didn't have any red pencils the right shade, so I mixed some Poppy Red and some Baked Earth and it came out just right :)

Leap frog birthday

I've been on a mission this past while to use up old stuff ... and this paw print DP has been sitting unloved and unused for such a long time!   It's kind of a chore to use it though, so I'm hoping that doesn't shine through to the card ;)

My image is from Eat Cake Graphics
2045-L Leap Frog
Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Gems and sequins from stash.  I was trying to keep this card quite masculine, not sure if I should have added the sequins or not!

Another snowy snowman

Hee I LOVE this sweet snowman ... he definitely makes for a super quick card!
1193-J Snowman (assembled)
8234-F All is calm  (text)
from Eat Cake Graphics.

Coloured with watercolour pencils, Wink of Stella and clear gloss added to his hat and scarf.  White enamel dots for snow.  I also added some stickles to the bottom of the snowman, and to his nose, so there's lots of sparkle :)  Green gems from stash.

Not a creature was stirring

I'm in Christmas card mode tonight ... yes, that slight panic has crept in and I need to get a move on!

This card uses 8102-M Not a creature stirring from Eat Cake Graphics.
Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Wink of Stella and clear gloss added to the candy canes.
Paper Smooches snowflake die - covered with more WOS and the larger one popped up on dimensionals.  Green gems from stash.  I'm determined to stick with this paper pad for my Christmas cards this year, and at the very least make a bit of a dent in it ;)

Doggy Thanks

I usually give a friend who runs a doggy charity a selection of cards as part of her Christmas pressie, so this is me trying to get a bit of a head start.

I've used this cutie from Eat Cake Graphics ...
1137-M Unselfishness (MMM ice cream)
Coloured with watercolour pencils.  I also had a go at watercolouring my sky and grass, but I think next time I'll try to be braver and go a tad heavier with the colour.  All Occasions flower dies.  I had a little snippet left over , so I paper pieced the little girl's dress :)

Dotty Snowman

Just looking at my post title .... I think I ran out of imaginative titles years ago LOL

I'm still playing with my Eat Cakes Graphics snowman
1193-J Snowman (assembled)

Coloured with watercolour pencils.  I had a snippet of the DP left, so I used it to paper piece his hat and scarf.  I also added clear gloss highlights to his hat and scarf, and added orange stickles to his nose.
Paper Smooches snowflakes dies.
I hadn't planned on adding my sequins, but had a splodge that needed covering ;)

While I've got you, anyone know where I could get one of these gem wheels with clear gems only - I have one in small, medium and large clear gems but it's nearly finished and I don't seem to be able to find it anywhere ...

Blue Sympathy

Happy November!  We've had the most glorious sunny day, here's hoping the rest of the month is just as good!  Got a little bit of gardening done, and bucket after bucket of leaves lifted ... the trees at the back garden are nearly bare now, so hopefully that's the end of that!

This card uses one of my favourite stamps for a sympathy card (from Whipper Snapper).
I've coloured it with watercolour pencils and Wink of Stella added to the flowers.  Die-namics scribble dies.  Paper Smooches sentiment.  Ooooldie DP from stash, I think this stuff is from one of the first paper stacks I ever bought!  Clear gems from stash.
