Bath time!

Oh brrrr, we'd a fall of snow today!  So far it's not as bad as the weather men were getting excited about, so hopefully the buses will be OK for work tomorrow.  And if they're not I'll quite happily have a crafty day at home!  Though the last 2 Snow Days I got from work, the first day the entire town's electric was off for most of the day, and the second day we ran out of oil!  Reckon I'm better in my work ;)

For Day 2 of the Daily Marker Colouring Challenge I've another baby card.  I picked this stamp to practice my skin colouring after studying a few videos on YouTube.  I reckon I need to invest in some watercolour paper - I'm always put off buying it as any 'white' stuff I've bought before always has a creamy tint to it.  I'll have to have a proper look.  Or if anyone has any recommendations ....!

Old stamp from Art Gone Wild.  Bubbles covered in clear gloss and glitter. Soap covered with my clear glitter pen.  I managed to accidentally wipe the pink across the bath when I was colouring the soap, but I didn't try to fix it as I thought it kinda looked like a reflection!

I recently won a Tombow sand eraser from Di at Pixie's Crafty Workshop -  Di, your eraser is amazing!! I managed to smudge in the Y of the baby stamp with my inky fingers and your eraser worked like magic! :)

Great card, brilliant idea to use the heart 'waste' over the rest of the card :)

Oh Lynne, this is just so sweet! Darling image and those hearts are a lovely touch. I guess it's a die and you used the cut out blue hearts? Gonna have to go hunting for that die :)

So pleased the sand eraser did the trick - when it works it's like magic isn't it?! And great for those last minute little smudges - lost count of the number of times I've ruined something last minute.

Hang on while I check my water colour paper as it took me forever to settle on one I thought was white enough. Back again - it's in a pad of 15 sheets (9" x 12") and it's called Strathmore Mixed Media paper - vellum surface. It's not cheap but I don't do as much water colouring as perhaps you do. It's the whitest watercolour card/paper I've found and it really is card as it's 300gsm. Now and then I'll use it to make the card blank if I'm doing white on white 'cos although it's the whitest I've found (and also the smoothest) it isn't that really bright white that many card blanks are. But, it isn't too cream either. Am just looking at it against some white copy paper and there is a lttle bit of a creamier tinge to it I'll admit but it's better than Tim Holtz for colour closest to clean white. I think it was Loll who recommended it. You can buy it on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pro-Art-Strathmore-Vellum-9-inch-12-inch/dp/B005FYPCHM/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1516143205&sr=8-8&keywords=strathmore+mixed+media

Thinking back, I bought mine almost a year ago and still have well over half the pad left - I'm careful not to cut too big when I want to stamp and colour an image - it's also great for Oxides etc.

I can pop you s piece in the post if you like to see for yourself and also have a little play. It's no bother - at least I can just put it straight into a post box :)

Hugs

This is a super cute card! The baby's skin tones look awesomeI also love the placement of your banners--very clever. I have a Tombow sand eraser, too, and I just love it. It's great for removing those little smudges that I'm always getting when I stamp.
