Some old tulips

I enjoyed making the background to my Naughty or Nice DT card and thought I'd have another go :)
I've used this ooooooold tulip stamp from Penny Black dated 1999 ... I wonder how many stamps have that staying power eh?!!
Coloured with watercolour pencils.  Clear gloss added to the tulips and glitter added to the pink ones.  Hand doodled border.

Fab card! Your tulips are so pretty - especially with the gloss and sparkle - and I always love your doodled frames. I wonder if any of my second-hand stamps that I've purchased from the thrift store are as old as your tulip stamp. Classy stamps never go out of style!

Hello Lynne:Your card is just so beautiful, you matched the inspiration photo perfectly, love the glossy look on this tulips and the fabulous water color wash in the background.
I love this image, it's no surprise to me that you are still holding on to it, never let it go!!! Some stamp sets have that quality that perseveres through the years.
Thank you for playing along with us at Retro Rubber, this challenge blog is the perfect place to give all of those older stamps you have some well deserved love.
We hope to see you again in the gallery!!
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
