Phoebe's birthday card

Whoops I was in a rush to take this pic and must have had my wonky eyes in at the time ;)
It's not quite finished, but I didn't want to miss the last day of the 30 day colouring challenge after I managed to keep up the rest of the month.
I reckon I'll probably add some flowers or butterflies and a bit of sparkle - if I remember I'll add the finished version.
Tiddly Inks image - coloured with watercolour pencils and highlights added to her hair with ordinary pencils.

December Calendar

Ha I'm back to my usual last minute rush calendar page for Mum, I'd been doing so well being early this past few months ;)

I haven't used this oldie Penny Black stamp for aaaaages, but you'll be seeing him again in a couple of days for my Naughty or Nice DT post!  Though actually, maybe he's a she now I think of it with all that pinkness ;)
'She' looked a bit lonely so I masked her off and stamped her a couple of buddies.
Falalalala sentiment is from a recent win from Happy Little Stampers.  Coloured with watercolour pencils; snowflake dies coloured to match.  Dates hand written.

Webster's birthday

Here's another one of my gazillion doggy stamps, this one's from Eat Cake Graphics:
Webster's tilting his head.
The sentiment is an oldie from (I think) Penny Black.
Coloured with a mix of watercolour pencils and ordinary pencils.  Sentiment popped up on dimensionals.

Sebastian's whiskers

Woops, I forgot to upload my card yesterday for the Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge, so here it is ...
I've used a sentiment from Paper Smooches and the images are from Eat Cake Graphics:
Bunch of Grass
Kitty Sebastian has very long whiskers

I tried a new technique for me here - I watercoloured my image and then highlighted areas with my ordinary pencils.  I'll be trying this again as I like how it added a bit of detail to my kitty.

Day 26 of the Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge

Twit twooo

It's the usual Sunday night quickie from me - the fabulous David Attenborough and Planet Earth II is on telly.  It's one of the few programmes that I actually sit down and watch properly!  Even the music is amazing, never mind the filming!

This card is based on this week's featured stamper challenge over at Splitcoast - here's Jan's original
My image is from Paper Smooches, not sure about the sentiment.  Coloured with watercolour pencils, sparkle added to his beak and feet, and clear gloss to his eyes/feet/beak.  Owl popped up on dimensionals.

Flowery Thanks

Well I hit the shops today and got quite a few Christmas pressies marked off my list, so Yeyyyy for Black Friday!  The shops were busy but not hectic and I got some bargains along the way :)

I also had some happy mail today, these lovely MFT stamps that I won recently from Simon Says Stamp :)  My flowers are one of the first stamps I ever bought, I think they were from Cornish Heritage Farm, and they still get inky quite often.  Coloured with watercolour pencils, sparkle added to the petals and popped up on dimensionals.

Sympathy bouquet

Just a quickie post tonight - I'm off tomorrow for my Christmas shopping so I'm trying to think what on earth I'm putting on my To Buy list!

This is an older Whipper Snapper stamp - coloured with watercolour pencils and sparkle added to the flowers.
Dienamics stitched border dies.

Snowy in a blizzard

Isn't it great when a card turns out like it looked in your head!  Doesn't happen to me very often!

This one uses a couple of stamps from Eat Cake Graphics -
Snowman (Assembled)
Row of Pine Trees
and the sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.
I stamped my snowman, masked him off then stamped the trees, masked them off and then used my falling snow stencil.  Clear gloss and glitter added to his hat band and nose, and sparkle added to his scarf.

Day 23 of the Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge

Tuesday, 22 November 2016

Golf Club Lady Captain

I'll have to invest in a new female golfer stamp - I've been asked to make a card for a club's new Lady Captain this past few years and I always end up using this oldie from High Hopes.

Coloured with watercolour pencils, sparkle added to the golf club and then popped up on dimensionals.  Lawn Fawn cloud dies.  Taylored Expressions card candy.

Cat in a Box and a Waggy Dog

Gosh, 21st already - I can't believe I've managed to keep up with the Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge, though my card stash was glad of it!

I'm not lovin this DP, but it fitted with the challenges I wanted to enter, so here you are!
I've used this cute kitty and sentiment from MFT - coloured with watercolour pencils.  I double matted it as it was getting lost in the DP, not sure if it worked or not!  Purple bling from stash, a little twine bow, and some doodled edges to finish.

And here's a quickie using my Tim Holtz dog, I eventually tidied my table so that's why you haven't seen him for a week or two ;)
Postmark stamp is an oldie from Lili of the Valley.  Again, I'm not lovin my DP :(

My general card design was based on this week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast.  Here's  Patti's original.

A puppy's Christmas list

Oh brrrrr it's been such a cold day today - we'd a freezing fog down all day and even the ice in the bird bath didn't melt.  No bath time for birdies tonight!  If they'd any sense, they'd be at home in their PJs anyway with the radiators toasty warm and the fab Planet Earth on TV like me ;)

For day 20 of the Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge I've used this fun Santa from Eat Cake Graphics:
Santa's Doggy Welcome
and sentiment:
 A new squeaky toy
Coloured with watercolour pencils and glitter added to his hat / mittens.
Snowflakes cut from silver mirror card.

Hugs and Homes

Eeek, I can't believe it's the 19th already and I still only have 1 present bought!  I'm hoping to get myself sorted with a list and scoop them all on Friday, fingers crossed!

This card used this cute image from Eat Cake Graphics - Hadley and kitty give Buddy a big hug
Coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss added to the critters noses and their collars.  Hugs sentiment from Paper Smooches.

Day 19 of the Daily Marker 30 day colouring challenge

This one's just a wee quickie.  I re-found this old stamp set from Taylored Expressions when I was looking for other stuff :)  I just stamped it in black ink and added clear gloss and red glitter to the hearts.  Sentiment from Simon Says Stamp.

Birthday Boots

Yippeeeeee for Fridays, the beers are chillin in the fridge, so this is just a quickie post ;)

This card uses an older  stamp from Woodware.  It's quite a busy image, so I just coloured the boots, a couple of the words and the stars and added some gold glitter  and a few staples too.

July - December

Here's another few Calendar pages ready for my friend's Christmas pressie.  I think I've only 2 more months to get done, and then I'll need to double check all my dates as it's not the first time I copied them out wrong!

July features this oldie from Penny Black and my wee flying mouse is from Eat Cake Graphics: Crumbs Away
All watercoloured and sky chalked.  Sparkle added to the bees wings and to the paper plane.

December uses another oldie that hasn't seen ink for quite a few years - from The Cats Pyjamas.
Coloured with watercolour pencils, gloss and glitter added to the snowballs, and then on his little tail I've added some white flowersoft.

A colourful birthday

Oh Brrrrr it's such a cold evening here, I'd the gloves, hat, scarf and big coat on this evening when we took Rubydoo out for her walk.  We've been a bit spoiled with our mild weather so far, so it's a bit of a shock to the system ;)

This card was inspired by the picture challenge over at Stamping Bella ->
I don't have any Christmassy SB stamps (yet!) so I went with the colour theme - i.e. almost every watercolour pencil I own!  I added some sparkle to the bunting and icing, and clear gloss to her party hat, plate and shoes.

Naughty or Nice - Don't pull your punches

We're half way through November already, so it's time for our reminder post over at Naughty or Nice.
This month's theme is all about punches, dies and die-cuts so a nice easy one!  Hope you'll play along too :)

My card is for my mum to send to my Aunt Cilla.
I've used this cutie from Nellie Snellen and coloured her with my watercolour pencils.
I haven't done the dotty sky thing for aaaaages, I rarely use my copics these days as I got so fed up with them running out on me!  At least with a pencil all I need is a sharpener ;)

Peek-a-boo

Well have you all been out for a look at the Super Moon?  Ours is well hidden behind the clouds - we got a 3 second peek but I must confess it didn't look any bigger to me!

This card is inspired by this week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast - here's Jenifrann's original.  I used this oldie giraffe from Whipper Snapper and my leaves are from High Hopes.
Coloured with watercolour pencils and sky chalked.

A thankful doggy and a Christmas Sheep

It's another quickie visit to blogland tonight.  The best programme EVER is on the telly ... the lovely David Attenborough and the fabulous Planet Earth II.  If you don't watch it, you're really missing out!

This thank you card uses an oldie Lili of the Valley stamp - coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on dimensionals.  Flowers covered with my clear glitter pen. Dotty die in BG from Die-namics.

Day 13 of the Daily Marker 30 day Colouring challenge

The photo of this card is so disappointing, it looks so much better in real life :(

My little sheepie is an oldie Penny Black and my sentiment from Happy Little Stampers.
I covered my sheep with my glitter pen, clear gloss to his legs, and flower soft to his hat.  Silver stars from stash.

Birthday ice cream

It's just a quickie visit to blogland tonight ... it's movie night here and I'm getting The Look to get a move on!  Think it's one of the Bourne movies, so it's obviously boy's choice ;)  Doubtless there'll be plenty of car chases, explosions, shooting, etc etc etc ...

Isn't it great when you find some DP in your stash and know the exact stamp you're going to use!  This ice cream stuff was in a pack I bought at The Range, and my stamp is from Eat Cake Graphics: Unselfishness (MMM -ice cream)

Coloured with watercolour pencils, sparkle and clear gloss added to the ice cream and to the dog collar.
Paper Smooches heart die.

Thank Moo

Just a super quick card from me tonight, I'm knackered!  I'm looking foward to (and hoping for) a wee lie in tomorrow, I was WIDE awake this morning before 5am.  Grrrr.

This card uses the farmyard set from My Favourite Things - coloured with watercolour pencils, clear gloss added to his hooves and a couple of googly eyes.  This is a Thank You card but I thought the Moo sentiment was funnier instead of Thanks :)  Though now I think of it, it should probably have said "Thank Moo"

Welcome Baby

A wee quick baby card this evening - this Lili of the Valley baby image is just perfect for a CAS card with extra cuteness!  Coloured with watercolour pencils and sparkle added to the 'deliveries' sign.  I used my Taylored Expressions star dies with my silver mirror card.

16th birthday

Well with the world in a buzz over the US Elections and a super-crappy day in work, it was definitely an evening to come home and do some colouring ;)

This is a special request card - I used this cutie from Stamping Bella.  Coloured with watercolour pencils; sparkle added  to the number, ribbon and icing, and then clear gloss to her crown and shoes.  Clear gems and sequins from stash. I die cut my numbers and coloured to match her ribbon.

Cupcake calendar

It was such an icky day today - wet and rainy and really dark :(  Though there was an unexpected surprise when a Tornado jet ripped low over Belfast this morning, the noise was amazing and it certainly woke us all up in work!  (turns out he was there for a careers fair!)

Anyway this calendar is for my friend's Christmas pressie and June is her birthday month, thus all the cakes!  I'm not sure of the makes of these stamps - I know the big one with the candle is from High Hopes.  Coloured with watercolour pencils.  All the icing is covered with my clear glitter pen, so there's lots of sparkle, and clear gloss to the little flowers.  Doodled my border to match the little cupcakes.

Dogs 'n more dogs

A couple of wee doggy cards this evening ... just for a change ;)  I do seem to have gathered quite a selection of them over the years!

This card was inspired by this week's Featured Stamper over at Splitcoast - here's Holly's original.   I was inspired by her multi coloured critters and the embossed panels.
I've used Webster's Tilting his Head from Eat Cake Graphics.  I used a new technique for me - I flooded the images with water and then dropped in some colour by touching my paintbrush on my watercolour pencil nibs.

This one's based on Anita's card over at the Muse challenge - here's her original ->

I was inspired by Anita's theme of reflecting her DP in the main image panel, and followed her layout with the fancy sentiment die.  This DP has been in my sash for quite a few years now - but not quite 10 years Cheryl! ;)   (if you don't know Cheryl from Paper Panacea you should pop over for a look at her fab blog!)
I'll be tidying my desk tomorrow, so I'll get this Wags and Whiskers doggy into the stamp box or I'll just keep using him ;)
Coloured with watercolour pencils;  sparkle added to his balloon and hat, and then clear gloss to the balloon and his nose. Sentiment popped up on dimensionals.  Purple gems from stash.
