Retirement card

It's been a mixed bag of weather today ... sunshine and showers, and it's now lashing with thunder, lightening and hailstones!  Best off indoors tonight!

I was asked to make a card on behalf of our Trustees in work for our Director who's retiring shortly.
I don't have many 'sensible' stamps that aren't cutesy, so I reverted to this good old floral set from Simon Says Stamp.

Coloured with watercolour pencils and then I went over the flowers with my clear sparkle pen.  The butterflies got a coating of clear gloss and some glitter to the tips of their wings.  Doodled stitched border to match the stitching effect in the flowers.

Gorgeous card, Lynne! I think your image choice was perfect. Sounds like you got some interesting weather. I don't think its quite that changeable here in Minnesota. :)
