Brideshead Revisited

This card is for the current challenge over at The Library Challenge based on Brideshead Revisited.  Not a book I've read I confess, but I'll have to add it to my reading list.

I don't think I have any old car stamps so used this old Stampin Up truck and Dienamics town die.  I couldn't think how to interpret the white banner from the book, so just added some white splatters and white enamel dots instead.  Clear gloss added to the windows and truck popped up on foam pads.

I haven't read that book yet, either. I believe it was also made into a movie and a TV series. Your card is great! I love the technique of cutting the cityscape into your front panel and just popping it up a bit. This would be a perfect card for a man.

I just love how you've done the town background on this - it's so subtle, it adds so much but without detracting from the lovely truck image. Thanks for joining The Library.
PS - I noticed that this week's Pinspirational challenge photo is a truck with flowers on the back!

What a great take on the title page Lynne, I love the little truck. I remember Brideshead from the (...cough...ahem!!) 80s!! I had a bit of a crush on Jeremy Irons actually and did so until he played a baddie in one of the Die Hard films...that ruined it for me!! xx
