First obstacle was my Dienamics town die - I cut it too short first time and had to do it again.
I thought it needed a wee something so went on the hunt for a little car image I have from Eat Cake Graphics .... nope, nowhere to be found.
Then I went looking for some little wooden cars that I definitely saw somewhere recently ... nope, couldn't find them either.
So then I stamped an Alley Way Stamps car, paper pieced the body work with my gold card, decided it looked crap and threw it in the bin.
And that's why I ended up with Henry Mouse as my image - it was sitting ready and waiting after being coloured in the garden yesterday!
What a faff!!
Though I'm pleased with how it turned out in the end ;)

And in comparison, this card for work just made itself! Stamped, coloured with watercolour pencils in our company colours, added a bit of glitter to the little heart and some bling, and job done!

Love your mouse card, thanks for the laugh! Thanks for joining us at CAS-ual Fridays.
I just love your description of faffing about - I would say about 80% of my crafting time is spent looking for things! But actually you ended up with a really original and fabulous card! Love your second card too (pink and light green is a great combo). Thanks for joining The Library.
lovely sentiment card thanks for sharing with creatalicious Rachel DT
What a delightful card! Love your choice of colors and the stamp.
Ha ha...I have lots of days like that! Your cards are both adorable. Love that you used your fun little mouse in the city scene! The thanks image is great!
Love this! Thanks so much for participating in the Love To Craft's "May Anything Goes" challenge! Sorry for the late comment - have been having internet issues.

super cute card Lynne, love the embossed sentiment and that adorable mouse, thank you so much for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, hugs kath xxx
Two lovely cards, Lynne and what a clever take on the book cover for Marina's challenge, Jo x
Your cards are both wonderful, but I certainly understand how some cards can be such a darn struggle!! Even when we THINK we know exactly what we want to do. Not sure why that happens. I think it's to keep us humble. LOL
You've really made a splendid job taking inspiration from the book cover and I think the mouse adds a sweet touch. I can't imagine it with a car, so I guess it was meant to be and turned out great x
This has been featured as a ‘Librarian’s Choice’. Thank you for sharing it at The Library.
