Chick, chick, chicken!

Hi all!  Well I'm glad to say all our snow has disappeared, a few days of it is quite enough for me!  And all of a sudden our daffodils have popped their heads up, hopefully spring will be here soon 😁

My card this evening looks like it should be a quickie, but oh my goodness, such a lot of faffing about!  Bits on and then off again, then other bits on and then off again too!  I've used this oldie set from Gerda Steiner, coloured with a mix of polychromos and watercolour pencils, and then pink metallic paint for their chickeny bits 🤣 and also splattered in the background.

Miss Molly wasn't so keen on her first experience of snow.  It was fine the first night when it was nice and fresh, but after the top layer froze her wee pokey feet would go through the ice and then down into the snow and she didn't quite know what on earth was going on!  It was funny though watching her chase snowballs trying to figure out why they disintegrated when she touched them!

Oh Lynne, your card made me really giggle. Those chooks are so funny and I adore the x to conceal one's modesty.

And Miss Molly - bless her. She looks rather bemused, as Dudley would be I'm sure, after three or so years without a decent snowfall. What fun though!

Hugs

I fully understand what you mean. For me CAS cards take way more time than fully loaded ones.
I love how yours turned out. The chickens are so funne and placed perfecly on the pink piece of paper. And I like the background. The splashed pink dots in the background are a perfect touch and those sequis and small bow are like a cherry on top. Fab work! xx

What a fun card! So cute! And that little fur all is the sweetest thing! We lost our sweet Sophie on New Years Day. So quiet here now, we’ve had an inside dog for 22+ years. Miss those wee feet tapping around in my craft room. Thanks for sharing!

Those chickens are just too funny. This card is definitely going to brighten someone's day. Poor little Molly, getting confused by all that snow. Our Mickey LOVES it. He sticks his nose in it and shakes his head and then rolls in it. I think winter is his favorite season.
