My first card uses this 'cute' snail (if there is such a thing, yeuch, the real ones give me the heebe jeebies) from Eat Cake Graphics ...
5002-D Speedy snail delivers the mail
Coloured with watercolour pencils, clear gloss added to his snail, Spectrum Noir sparkle to the envelope, and then some googly eyes for good measure. Stencil from Creative Expressions.
- Layout from CAS colours and sketches #166
- Red/blue and stripey lines theme inspired by the inspiration pic at The Challenge #66 - I think this would pass as a masculine card?
- Moving along with the times #16 - in the garden
- AAA Cards #61 - stencilling
- CAS on Sunday #79 - stencil it
My second card uses a Simon Says stencil and an older High Hopes pelican stamp. Coloured with watercolour pencils, clear gloss added to his eyes and the rope. I was too lazy to get up and get my copic markers, and tried to do the dotty effect round my image with my watercolours but it didn't quite work out, wish I'd left it well alone.
- General card inspired by the photo at Just Us Girls #336
- Seize the Birthday - water
- Allsorts #356 - wings
- CASology #191 - washi tape

Fabulous card, love the clean and simple effect, great image and really lovely background.
Thank you for joining in our Wings challenge this week at Allsorts.

Love the googly eyes on the snails, makes them look very cute. I don't think even googly eyes would make a slug look cute though! I think you're being very hard on yourself about the dotty watercolouring. I think it works. Love the way you've included the cloud die to frame the scene. Cara x
I really do feel the same about snails (and don't get me started on slugs) but these guys are very cute and I love how you used the sketch! Love the pelican too - lovely colours, Jo x
Wonderful cards! Thanks for playing along with us at CC&S!
I like both these cards, Lynne! Those googly eyes are a nice touch! Gives them loads of character. I think you're dotty effect around the pelican make him look a bit like he is shaking off some water - which is perfect!
Perfect for our challenge, thanks for joining us at MAWTT, xxxx
Both your cards are so fun and beautifully coloured. Thanks so much for playing along at CC&S this week. Hugs Bev x
They may be yuk but there's no denying the cuteness of those snails!! Love the pelican too, he makes me want to watch Finding Nemo!! xx
Both of your cards are just beautiful. I really like the coloring...worth turning your fingers blue ;)
We have all been there Lynne! I can't tell you how often I mess with something just one to many times. UGH! I think the card is totally awesome and love that you made the eyes and rope glossy! Great take on out photo challenge at Just Us Girls and thrilled that you joined us. Love your snail card too...the hints of blue in the background adds a nice touch. Thanks for inspiring!
