I've 2 cards following the same techniques this evening.
This first one is based on this week's featured stamper over at Splitcoast - here's Tara's original. I used a stencil instead of the zigzag lines, and a Simon Says Stamp floral stamp set.
- Inspiration Destination #118 - anything goes
- Penny's Challenge #309 - anything goes
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - anything goes
My second card uses this oldie from Lili of the Valley that seems to be one of my Go To stamps for sympathy cards. Coloured with watercolour pencils. I've also used one of my favourite techniques of inking up a stencil and then splattering it with watercolours (though I was kinda heavy with my splatters on this one)
- Happy Little Stampers January watercolour challenge - use a stencil
- Simon Says Stamp Work it Wednesday December- use something new (my stencil)
- 613 Avenue Create #193 - favourite technique
- Lili of the Valley facebook challenge - anything goes

Really pretty cards. I love those stenciled backgrounds. If you don't mind my asking, Lynne, what kind of work do you do?

Both are beautiful cards, I love how you have used the partial stencil for both, very nice look and great way to add background without overdoing it.
Two beautiful cards. I love the little hint of the brick wall behind the first card. Great colors and love the hint of spring. So glad you shared over at Inspiration Destination.
Absolutely gorgeous cards, Lynne! I love your soft stenciled backgrounds. Thanks for joining us at HLS Watercolour Challenge!
Hi Lynne! Your coloring is so lovely on both cards. The bg on the 2nd is a favorite. So soft and complements those gorgeous blooms perfectly. So glad you played along at HLS 1st watercolor challenge!
