Anyway, this card is for our boss in work. I just couldn't think what to put on it! All my flowery stamps have been used for various cards in work and she's seen them all, I figured she likes a bit of cake (don't we all) so I used good old Henry Mouse.
I've also had this lovely sparkly card in my stash for a while so thought I should cut into it. For my background I chalked up a stencil in purple, green and blue and then coloured my image to match. Image popped up on foam pads. Some blue enamel dots to finish.
- General card design based on Bharati's beautiful card over at the Muse Challenge #276
- Make My Monday #76 - colour an image
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - use a die or punch
This one kinda looks better in real life. I should really have got my lamp out for a better photo!
I smooshed my background with several different blue watercolours. I also went over it with my waves stencil. My little girl is an oldie from CC Designs - coloured with watercolour pencils and popped up on foam pads. Sparkle added to her bathing suit and clear gloss to her flippers, snorkel and goggles. I also stamped some little blue fish in the background but they're hard to see here.
- The Library Challenge #12 - The Little Mermaid - I don't have any mermaid stamps so this is the closest I could get!
- Addicted to CAS #141 - summertime
- Crafty Cardmakers #216 - holidays / vacations

Your cute blue cards certainly don't make me FEEL blue. In fact, I smiled at each of them. I think your boss will love her card. Who doesn't like cute little mice and some sparkle? Your little swimmer is super cute, too. Especially with all that gloss!!
Such a cute cute card. Love how you added a strip of blue glitter paper on the left. The soft stencilled background is such a beautiful background for the image and the die cut greetings to sit on. Thank you so much for joining us on Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. xx Ankita
Your mermaid card is super cute. That little swimmer image is adorable - I am sure she feels like a mermaid. I know I do! Love that smooshed background and the sparkle you added. Thanks so much for playing with us at Addicted to CAS.
These are lovely Lynne. The hot weather has sapped my creativity too!! Xx
cute cards, wonderful colouring.
Hi Lynne, Both the cards look fabulous. Lovely take on the muse card with the glitter paper stripe on the left and stenciled background in blue - green colors. The adorable image of the mouse with the cup cake is colored beautifully. Thank you for playing along with the Muse Card Challenge. Hugs - Bharati
I think the stamp you've chosen is perfect for the challenge - no tail, but it is reminiscent of the cover and sometimes children's swimming classes are called mermaids. I love the watery background. Your other card is lovely and sparkly. Thanks for joining The Library.
Cute cards! Backgrounds are so fun. Focal sentiments are great.
Lynne, I love both cards! I saw your sweet birthday card over at Muse and had to say how much I love the blue sparkle as well as that sweet mouse image! What a fabulous card for your boss! The mermaid card is perfectly CAS and quite adorable, too!
A lovely birthday card, hope your boss liked it! Thanks for joining us at Make My Monday

Wonderful cards Lynne, love the soft rainbow colouring behind the mouse and cupcake. He looks so smug as he makes of with the cake. Love the little girl in the water too, looks like she is cheering herself on for job well done.
