August calendar

Yumm doesn't that watermelon look delish!  We had some in Alicante last year and couldn't believe the difference in the price, it was a tiny fraction of what we'd pay here.  Guess when our climate wouldn't normally grow them then you gotta pay the postage!!
I've been making these calendar pages for my Mum for a few years now - so you'd think I'd know by now how much space it takes to write the dates in!  I was cutting this kinda fine and only just managed to squeeze in Saturday ooops.  I've totally lost track of which stamps I've used, so I've no clue if I've used this cutie before or not.  She's an oldie from High Hopes, coloured with watercolour pencils and sparkle added to the watermelon.  I extended the grass line to make it fit my page better.
Sorry for the crappy photo, it's been a dark damp old day today.

Oh and I see that Kathy from the Daily Marker has a new colouring contest up, so that will keep me busy for August ;)
