New Christmas goodies

I'd been looking for some Christmas quickie makes inspiration, so when I spotted this Lil' Inker die I thought it would be perfect for some sparkly card I have.  But now that the postie has delivered it, I'm kinda stumped as to what to do with it!!
I'm not loving these not-very-inspired cards, feel free to contribute any suggestions!

And this is my second effort, again all constructive criticism welcome.  I embossed the background to snazz it up a bit but I'm not lovin it!

I prefer the bottom card to the top one. What about using the negative of the die and backing it with glitter card. Or try using it as it is and adding a few little angels or other Christmas characters standing on the end letters. I know it would be more complex to add little stamped things (and that defeats the object a bit) but it may help. Try Digistamp boutique at LOTV she did have some tiny reindeer and some angels before she moved her shop. Don't be disheartened. Your stuff is always an inspiration to me. Love Dawn x

Well, in my humble opinion, they are gorgeous cards!! Love the modern font of that cute die and the glitter looks especially good cut out. If you snip off the star you can put a cute stamped character on the top!! xx

Both are great cards, no matter what you say (ha ha). You could try adding a pop of color (maybe cut the star in a second color and pop it up? Or add a bit of holly or some red bits elsewhere).
