Christmas Bear

Hi all!  Well normal service was resumed today with some rain and great to see it too, it has been weeks since we had any (almost unheard of here, we're not called the Emerald Isle for nothing LOL)!  We had a mad downpour of rain earlier with thunder and soft rain ever since, you can almost imagine you can see the grass greening up!

Anyway I have a wee Christmas card for you this evening, using the Christmas sELFie set from MFT.  It kinda looked a bit meh until I added the stars and that was just what it needed to finish it.  I added chunky glitter to his hat, fine glitter to the ribbon and then covered the purple bit with my glitter pen - let's face it, you can never have too much sparkle on a Christmas card!!

Hydrangea Sympathy

Hi all! Happy Monday!  Bit cooler here today thank goodness, a few days of those high temps are enough for me.  I see we're due some showers this week, the ground will be glad to see it, everywhere is burnt brown and the leaves are already dropping from some of the trees!

Anyway I've a wee sympathy card this evening.  I've used this old LOTV stamp - I don't think I've ever coloured the blooms in different colours before but I definitely will again!

Looking at it here I think I need to ground the image so I'll have to get my watercolour pencils out again.  I made my own stripey DP on a leftover bit of blue with one of my new stamps from Creative Depot.

Pixies Snippets Playground #408 - it's a Ruby's Memory challenge again, the 5th one, and each time lovely Di makes a donation to the USPCA.  It's easy to play along and there's a fabulous Gina K prize from Brenda up for grabs - all you have to do is use up a leftover piece of card or DP.

Hello Sailor!

Hi all!   Hope you're all coping with the heat, it's too hot for me!  We've had record temps for Northern Ireland of over 31 degrees these past few days .. we're more used to the low 20s here so it's hard to stick! It has clouded over this evening though and there's the slightest hint of a breeze, it's just heavenly to get a breath of air at last!

I've been shopping in Germany (it would be nice to actually be there rather than online LOL) and have some new stamps from Creative Depot which I'm lovin! ....  The tag stamp came along with my order as a little freebie and I know I'm going to use it loads 😁

Layout inspired by Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge #430 - my original plan was to have my anchor further down in place of the circle but I stamped my sentiment in the wrong spot and couldn't be bothered getting my heat gun out again!

Tracey's Good Luck card

Hi all!  Nothing from me for weeks and now 2 cards in 2 days 😉. This one is for a friend through work who's got herself a great new job.

I used this little mouse from Anita Jeram's St Patrick's Day set and masked off the background to add some stencilling - I kinda thought the swirl pattern reflected the shape of the leaves.

Thank U Bear

Hi all!  Sorry I've been MIA again, I have zero mojo but I have a rake of cards needing made so I need to get the finger out! I'm hoping our good weather will get me going, it has been scorchio here these past few days - we had our highest ever temp in NI yesterday with just over 31 degrees!  We've had no decent rain for ages, we were at a local reservoir last week and it was already well down so we'll be glad of a drop of rain when it arrives.

Anyway on to my card... I've used this little bear and leaf stamps from Reverse Confetti that I think I've only inked up once before ... Why do we buy stamps that "will be really useful" and then don't even use them?!!!  I added a few die cut 'branches' and then stitched elements  (from Simply Graphic) as I had a scrap of the pink paper left - I love how they add a wee bit of interest to a plain space.

Silly Elf

Hi all!  Happy Sunday! I see there are some mad thunder showers about the country, but none with us ... yet anyway!

I've been on the lookout for stamps for this year's Christmas cards, and decided on this sELFie set from MFT

There's 6 different images in this set, so you'll definitely be seeing more of these in the coming months, especially as I now have a total of one card in my Xmas stash!

My lovely DP is from Catherine Pooler which I haven't tried before but I'd definitely recommend as it's lovely quality.
