Baby Boy and a Christmas Moose

We've had a lot of sadness in our family recently, but I thought I'd try to get back into the swing of things today and make a couple of cards.

My baby card uses this cutie from Lili of the Valley.  Coloured with watercolour pencils and then the BG splattered to match.  I also coloured up a die cut heart and added gloss and glitter to it and to the label on the baby box.  I also added some Spectrum Noir clear sparkle to the baby's top, so it's nice and sparkly.  Silver sequins/stars from Taylored Expressions.

I couldn't get a decent photo of this Christmas card :(  I've used some shiny red washi tape and it looks much better in real life!  I also die cut my sentiment with washi - it was a bit lost on my white BG, so I die cut it in black and double mounted it  - looks much better now and adds a bit of dimension too!  My little moose is from catsonappletrees - mounted on dimensionals and googly eyes added.  Red sequins etc from Taylored Expressions.

A colourful birdie

We've had a mini heat wave these past few days, we're so not used to it!  Doesn't help that we've no air conditioning in work - we've usually no need of it LOL.   I can't believe it's still 23 degrees at 9 o'clock at night!  Not to worry though, normal service is due to return tomorrow with the rain ;)

I've been on a lucky streak and won a Simon Says Stamp voucher recently and I've blown some of it on the new Tim Holtz dogs, I can't wait for them to come!  So I thought I should get some ink on this under-used crazy birdie!
I've also used some of my precious blue enamel accents - it's been in the 'too nice and too expensive to use' pile, but I've also ordered some of the new coloured Ranger enamel accents, so felt I could finally use these up!!!
All coloured with watercolours, and then the same colours splattered on the BG.  I went over the edge on his/her (?) eyes with my colouring, so drew in some eyelids and lashes :)  Bird popped up on dimensionals and clear gloss added to his eyes and beak.

Friendship cards

Just a quickie post tonight .... it's movie night and he's giving me the "are you watching this?" look ;)

Card one uses this sweet image from Eat Cake Graphics ...
8033-K To the world (scene)
Coloured with watercolour pencils.
Old sizzix mini embossing folder.

Card 2 merits a big shout out to Bunny Zoe's Crafts
I learnt on Wednesday that I won last month's challenge, sent Nikki an email, she was straight back with my voucher details, and on Friday the postie delivered my goodies.  How's that for fab service!!

So this little cutie from Whiff of Joy was one of my goodies.  I've coloured her with watercolour pencils, and added some Spectrum Noir sparkle to her pink flower and the pink trim on her dress.
Silver peel offs and bling from stash.

Naughty or Nice?

There's still time to play along with the Anything Goes challenge over at Naughty or Nice.
For the challenge mid-post I've used this oldie from Stampin Up (I think it's called Fishy Friends)

I coloured my little crab with watercolour pencils, covered him with Spectrum Noir clear sparkle and then added a couple of googly eyes for good measure :)
Red, blue and silver sequins from stash.
Alpha/ sentiment from Paper Smooches.

Penguins and Poinsettias

Well it's certainly not summer here (we've had lashing rain, thunder, sunshine and rainbows today!) so I thought I'd make a couple of Christmas cards!

My first card was inspired by Rita's fab penguin card (this week's featured stamper over at Splitcoast).   I used a load of Eat Cake Graphics penguin stamps for mine ....
5074-E Looking up penguin
5075-D Sliding penguin
5076-E Left foot up penguin
5077-D Right foot up penguin
I used a promarker to colour my BG, but didn't have any black markers for my penguins so used a pencil instead.  Liquid white enamel dots for snow.  Clear gloss and glitter added to their beaks and feet for some sparkle.

My second card was inspired by Muse Christmas Visions and the beautiful card by Chriss.
My stamp is an oldie from Art Gone Wild (I think). I coloured my poinsettias pink with my watercolour pencils and added some pink and green splatters to the background.  Pink stickles for the flower centres.  Simon Says Stamp sentiment die, cut from silver card.

More owls, Besties and a sick kitty

It's a holiday in Northern Ireland today and tomorrow, yippee for free days off work :)
I had some stampy time this afternoon, so sat down with my favourite owl stamps again, this time for a Good Luck card for a male colleague in work.  I added some clear gloss to the owls' eyes and a bit of bling.  I think my dotty die is from MFT but I'm not sure.

This card was a special request from a friend in work for her Bestie's 60th Birthday.  This Art Impressions image was just perfect for it as they have a real good laugh together :)
Image coloured with watercolour pencils and clear gloss/glitter added to their lips, ear rings, shoes and to the 60.

And finally, this get well card.  It kinda looked better in my head, I think it's maybe a bit drab.
My kitty is from Whipper Snapper, I've coloured him with watercolour pencils, added Spectrum Noir sparkle to his head scarf and then popped him up on one of those wobble springs, so it should bring a smile to the recipient, even if I'm not overly fussed on it myself!

Owls and a flowery birthday

Hi All, sorry I've been a bad blogger this past while and I've had no mojo either, but when these lovely stamps popped through my letter box I couldn't help myself but get stampy! :)

I used my giraffe print stencil and some purple chalk for my BG, and also added some purple paint splatters.  Then came some sequins, silver star and some bling, followed by a doodled border.
For my critters, I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle to the kite and clear gloss to their eyes.

My second card uses a well-used oldie from Lili of the Valley.  I've coloured her with watercolour pencils and added Spectrum Noir sparkle to her flower and butterfly.   For a change my little punched butterflies aren't actually covering a smudge ;)

A Tabby cat, or not?

For day 2 of the Daily Marker colouring challenge I was going for the tabby cat look here - I should have googled a picture before I started ;)  He was a bit too yellow at first, and then was too orange, so there's about 3 other brown shades here too to tone him down a bit!

My Kitty is from Eat Cake Graphics
2016-G Kitty Sebastian has very long whiskers
Coloured with watercolours.
Couldn't get a decent pic of this tonight, I'll try again tomorrow.  I might add a doodled border, it looks like it needs 'something'.

Some personalised cards ...

The Daily Marker colouring challenge is back ... I was able to keep up for the 30 days last time, so we'll see how I go this month!

I was asked to make a card for a girl who loves farm animals and horses, so this MFT set was perfect for the job!  Don't ya love it when that happens :)
Coloured with watercolour pencils and some Spectrum Noir sparkle added as highlights.  My little flowers were part of a candy win from Simon Says Stamp.

And here's one my very talented nephew made for his Mum, I reckon she'll love it!

A CASEd Butterfly

Phew busy day today!  I washed the dog (she wasn't happy about it!), washed her towels and bedding, then washed the bathroom, washed the floors, washed the car, and it was a good drying day so got loads of laundry done too!  The ironing mountain has been rebuilt hurrah! (boo really!)

Anyway, it's not very often I would share a CASEd card, but this one has been in my head since Patti Stationery Styles shared it on her blog.   If you haven't visited Patti's blog before you should definitely go visit!
My card uses a butterfly from Marianne Designes.  I didn't have the matching base die, so just used my diecut as a template and cut round it.  Couldn't resist adding the usual paint splatters and a few sequins.  Oh and I covered my white die cut with Spectrum Noir clear sparkle.

I wonder are all Patti's super talented? ;)  My other bloggy buddy Patti J Cherish Each Precious Day has just designed the most beautiful floral set.  Go you Patti!!

Boats and Blooms

I was very lucky recently to win some surprise candy from Simon Says Stamp and this lovely nautical DP was part of my package :)
I've used an oldie sailboat from High Hopes and a load of dies .... Lawn Fawn clouds, Simon Says Stamp sentiment, not sure where my wiggly line die is from.
Boat coloured with watercolours, Spectrum Noir sparkle added to the sun on the sail, and clear gloss to the darker cloud on the sail.
Red and blue sequins and some clear bling to finish.

My second card uses these lovely flowers from Power Poppy.   coloured with watercolour pencils - Spectrum Noir sparkle added to the blooms and clear gloss to the flower centres.
White photo frame popped up on dimensionals.
Doodled border.  Green pearls from stash.

KittieTastic

Wow, 1st of July already!  Wish someone would tell our weather it's summer, we'd a mad hailstone shower earlier, it was more like a winter's day at times!  Anyway, just a quickie post, it's movie night here and I've the gorgeous Cillian Murphy to oogle for an hour or two ;)

For this card I've used an MFT set - coloured with watercolour pencils.  I popped the top of their heads up on dimensionals and then glued the bottom.  I also added clear gloss to the little mouse.
I hadn't intended the 'purr' sentiment, but I managed to go over the edge when I was drawing the black line and needed a cover up.

Anything Goes at Naughty or Nice

This month's challenge for Naughty or Nice is an easy one ... anything goes!
We'd love to see your nice cards, and we'd even more love it if you shared your naughty ones ;)

My project this month is part of an ongoing pressie to my Mum (I wasn't organised enough last Christmas to make an entire year's calendar LOL)

As you can see, I can neither stamp nor write in a straight line ;)
My dancing monkeys are an oldie stamp from Stampendous and my leaves are from High Hopes.  I chalked in the BG with an MFT giraffe print stencil to make it look more 'jungly'.
