Sympathy card and a baby bunny

Oh Brrrr it's a cold one tonight, but we've the heat on, cosy PJs and cuppa tea at the ready so all is good :)
Not sure what DH has on the Movie menu tonight, we haven't watched anything good for ages!

I'd a bit of a disaster making this sympathy card - I'd rescued my sparkle pen from the bin, and then as soon as I opened the lid a huge drop splodged over my sentiment.  Aarrrgghhh. So it took ages trying to see if I could get rid of it (nope, just made a bigger mess!) and then had to figure out a cover up. I'd no blue card left so ended up doing a contrast effort with this lilac trim.  Needless to say the pen is back in the bin and it's staying there!!

I'm still struggling with my mojo, and this wee baby card is the first card I've made in a long time that I've liked!!
It still took ages to make though, I'd cut my polka dot DP too short and the dimensions weren't right, so I added the extra strip and it looked much better.  Why did such a simple solution take so long too come to?!!!
Stamps from MFT, also MFT porthole die.

Two lovely cards, Lynne. So glad you could save card #1 as it's a beauty. My mojo always seems to take a break at this time of year, perhaps its a seasonal thing! Have a good Sunday, Jo x

Both your cards look great. I think your contrasting lilac mat works well with the lilac-colored flowers in the image. Your baby card is very sweet! I love the little animals and the tiny bow. You always embellish your cards so beautifully!

The message on your sympathy card seems like a happy accident to me Lynne, it's meant to be that colour...perfect!! Love the bunnies, so cute and perfect for a new baby card xx

So frustrating when something doesn't work out. Seems like we have wasted valuable craft time. Great end result. Love your baby card. So sweet with those adorable images and the pink polka dots.
I'm addicted to Outlander - you could watch that if you are able to get it. I love this show just never long enough. Thanks for sharing with us at ATSM. Hope your mojo find it's way back to you soon Lynne.
