Greg & Chris's birthday card

HI all!  Just popping by to post Greg's birthday card, last minute as per usual!  I think I'm in Penny Black mode at the minute, though I've always loved their stamps from the moment I started card making!

I watercoloured the background though it doesn't show well here, and added some splatters.  I hadn't intended to add the gems but my black enamel dripped on the one to the left and I needed an emergency coverup!  Image another one similar for my brother-in-law.

Layout inspired by Janneke's beautiful card over at Global Design #328 case the designer challenge

Pupdate..

Best purchase of the day was this wee pink rubber ball!  Molly is in love!  She grabs the ball, throws it up the kitchen, hares after it and does it all again LOL. So funny to watch.  And so different to Ruby - she would just have eyeballed you if you threw a ball for her as if to say "you can go fetch that yourself" 😉

She's starting to look like she'll soon be needing her 1st haircut.

Your card is wonderful. The image is perfect for a guy--they're all fascinated by boats in bottles, aren't they? Your coloring is wonderful, as usual, too. Wish I had your coloring skills! Molly is just as cute as she can be. We took care of my daughter's three dogs and three cats over the weekend. Her dogs are all pretty old and each one has a disability. She adopts them because she thinks no one else will, and she wants to give them a loving home for whatever time they have left. It definitely makes pet-sitting a little more interesting.

Gorgeous images - and your coloring is stunning! I like the spatters on the background - adds so much movement! Thanks so much for playing at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!

What a perfect card for a fella, I am sure Greg will love it. The dots look like they are meant to be there too!! Molly looks so pleased with her ball. Bumble has a bit of a ball obsession, Bowie not so much. When they were pups we made the mistake of teaching him to roll the ball with his nose. It was very cute when he was small but the collie in him has meant this has evolved to the point of obsession, so now he rolls it ALL the time onto our laps, into our feet and woe betide any visitors!! She is really growing up now isn't she xx

Lynne, I've fallen in love with Molly... she is so adorable! Super cute card with all it's layers and textures! Clever addition of the linen thread and ink splashes to carry on the maritime theme! Thank you so much for sharing your card and talents with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday!!! -Donna
